Re: Message out to all PG employees...

Truly unbelievable that the layout was so poor that crosstalk numbers weren't stellar. 20 years experience in audio amplifier layout. I have Altium Designer.

Yes I logged in for the first time in eons to post this one thing.

If I rememebr right arent these half way decient amps Yeah, they were fine. Compared to what was available "then", they were merely average. Today, they're right in line with the name brands. Remember, there are maybe ten basic topologies/ways to build a non-switching (class a/b, b) car a...

Cheap, old PSL amps - NIB

I'm not selling these, but came across them on FleaBay. These are PSL (Phillips Sound Labs) amps from around 1995-96. They are actually quite attractive gloss black amps and appear to be NIB. My understanding of PSL is that they built amps for themselves (duh), contracted PPI to build their Special ...

Re: zx450 crossover potentiometer part #

I've searched with absolutely no luck. Every winter my zx450 starts _groaning_ until it gets warmed up. After speaking to a tech several years ago, I discovered it's a common problem when the crossover pots are fouled. Since it was warming up at the time, I sort of let the issue rest. That was seve...

The 627 is a single and the 2134 is a dual. Both are high quality op-amps with outrageously great spec's. Depending on use these are some of the best audio products money can buy. As for why not BB DAC's, I would have to look that up. BB used to make the best back in the early 90's, back when cheap...

Congrates on your repair. I have long since given up on even trying to bring Xtant amps back to life. Especially now that MTX Mitec owns them and wants Xtant to die a quick death of the buy the company to kill off the brand. No support whats so ever at all now... Do you need anymore Xtant amps. I t...

Xtant 3300c Fitzed!

Thanks to 1moreamp Cecil who came through for me last year(!) with a basically intact Xtant 3300c "parts" amplifier, I have successfully completed repairs on IT rather than fixing my old one. I may someday revisit the old one, but it's pretty gutted out. I didn't bother starting any repair...

You just don't see that sort of QC on lower grade op-amps, after all the money I have spent on my gear, the cost is justified IMO so I go for it whenever I can. By the way, if you replace an Op Amp and hear an immediate increase in "brightness" or "clarity" - the OpAmp is probably oscillating. Look at it on a scope sometime. Well yes the above mentioned could happen if you don't pick the correct op-amp for the circuit design. certain th...

Very impressive little powersupply you've got there.

Thank you. Yes, it allows automotive or any 12V (9-15V) input supply to run the Behringer DCX and DEQ processors.

Can I put the post in this forum?

Replacing the opamps is to make the amp sound about 100,000 times better This is a quote from dr Fosgate. What the heck is a opamps?? Is it only on M-series, or is it on MS-series too? Behringer Power Supply Retrofit

Hi Everyone! I've got a power supply retrofit for the Behringer DCX/DEQ2496 processors so that they can be cleanly operated in a 12V environment. Past attempts at this effort have resulted in poor performance, but this solution is THE ONE that works perfectly and noise-free. If you don't mind, I'd l...
