Re: Wangin

nice!

I am putting together a system with a ported Dcon 12 (tuned to 34hz) right now - how do you like the Dcon thus far? after having the RSdC's I am a little worried its going to sound sloppy.

Nice! I love my SS/RS - I am sure you will love yours too! (RS package has the HID headlights, red SS badges as a "quick tell") http://i680.photobucket.com/albums/vv166/ryantoliver/Camaro/newwheels1.jpg http://i680.photobucket.com/albums/vv166/ryantoliver/IMG_0250.jpg http://i680.photobuck...

Re: I just figured out why this name was so familiar

Dr. Leigh definitely played a big role at PG. The real question is if in fact this is the same dude. I assume you haven't chatted him up since you figured out what was nagging at you. What kind of work do you do? Its the same guy, I chatted with him at a going-away party for one of our coworkers on...

Re: Ti 800.4 review on DIYMA

a good dealer with a good sound room should have everything out and on display IMO. Putting it in a glass case doesn't make it worth more to me if I can't hear it. If I wanted to look at an amp and not hear it, I have been doing that since they released them and it hasn't sold me yet. as I said... ...

dunno as the philipeans has posted pics of the new stuff installed so it might just be out there. In a glass case... The only thing worse then the stuff not being hooked up is when they are hooked up badly. I can't tell you how many sound rooms I have been in with speakers out of phase, shitty encl...

Re: I just figured out why this name was so familiar

Dr. Stephen Leigh was one of the original guys who designed some of the PPI amps (I guess the Art series and the PC class if I remember correctly). and he was the VP of Engineering at PG... maybe this sounds familiar: “We have utilized much of the advanced engineering that we developed for our line ...

I just figured out why this name was so familiar

I just figured out why Dr. Stephen Leigh sounded so familiar...

the first time we were in a meeting together, I introduced myself to him, he told me his name and I just havent been able to let go of it, like an itch in the back of my brain. I finally figured it out...

Its a small world I suppose.

heheh I hear ya... though I gotta say, the 400hp in that car is more than enough for me 99% of the time. that last 1% of the time its more than I need, based on my maturity level.

Re: 2010 Camaro Trunk

You should even build a cloth cover to stick over the amp, so you can protect it when you've got a full load of stuff in the trunk. Dabor is in Corvallis, OR. Hope you like kegs and BBQ! :D This is the install in my 2010 Camaro... that IS the full load of stuff in my trunk! LOL if I need to take mo...

Thanks guys... clean, simple and useful trunk were my goals. the Roadster amp rack is within a couple of inches of the back of the rear seat, so almost the entire trunk is useful. Re: Product Suggestions

that wont increas the price at all adding all the converters needed lol - was lowering cost the issue at hand? I'd buy a system that had a high-to-optical LOC and amps with optical inputs to match... especially for a system utilizing the OEM headunit. hell, we buy metra kits for 200.00 - 300.00 tha...

why is this still an issue?

Morgan said straight out that ubuy was not part of this amp... I am willing to take him at his word, doing other than that would be calling him a liar.

integrate fiber optic/digital optical into both an OEM integration/line-out-converter and a transmitter/reciever so that we can run VERY short RCA's to a transmitter, then optical to the reciever... put optical inputs on the amps and build an optical reciever for those that use older/non PG amps. Make sure you've got the gains set properly. "Turned up to half volume" doesn't mean anything when the gains are set so that the amp maxes out at half volume ;) gains are set at about 1/3 on both fronts and sub channels... ... I have to imagine that if I actually turned the gains up to ju...
