It's a MS2250TA.

Its probably a MS2250TA, as the MS2125TA is badged as a 2125 on the end plate. Both have virtually the same looking internals and are difficult to differentiate without a closer inspection....see pics.

The MS's should handle 8 volts with no issues, I'd say there may be an issue with the amp gain.

you can run power reducers and run thicker wire to the amps if you want to impress. I do not think you will get much of a performance gain but they do look beefy if that is what you are after. From your experience what is the largest size cable to fit the following on a MS Series amp:

Power/Ground wire (PG states 4awg minimum)?
Speaker wire (PG suggests 12 awg for bridged, can we go larger)?
