After you find out its more than you want to deal with you can sell it to me for spare parts. : )

the lenght is shorter then i remembered. 3 inches exactly to the point within the barrel where it would connect when you pressed it on (so a little more then 3.5 to the very tip of the gold + connection) I think that'll work (given they get them back in stock) since the distance from MS RCA center ...

I would think that you could use the rmd as well, all you need to do is cut he ends off and it is nothing more then a volt meter too. You would not even need to use the rmd output, you can just put it on the Voltage output and then wire in a relay to turn it on and off. Huh :hmm: Clarification plea...
