Re: post a pic of your latest purchase
Hi i live in Norway, a few years ago a car stereo company here sold alot of ADS amplifiers i think the had 8 models and they sold them cheap under 100$ a piece. I remeber i tried finding info about them back then but on the car stereo forums everybody said they were cheap and crappy amplifiers, are...

Re: post a pic of your latest purchase
Picked this off CL.com, a couple scratches and chips on the sink but overall a clean board and solid 300 watt 2-channel amp. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y94/JayGold/Car%20Audio/ADS/IMAG1241_zpspytrykd5.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y94/JayGold/Car%20Audio/ADS/IMAG1243_zpszt6cy2nk.jpg Any...

West Marine has some good items: Avg $20.00 for the Mexican built style fuses above: http://www.westmarine.com/buy/blue-sea-systems--anl-ignition-protected-fuses--P009_273_004_004 I currently use this block for my main battery fuse and it's been nothing but great: http://www.westmarine.com/buy/blue-...

Re: AGU Fuse Powered Distribution Blocks
I seem to trust the internal amp AGU fuses over any off the shelf china made cartridges today for external dist blocks. I figured with the later design change to mini-ANL that would be the preferred option. I've never had any issues with wiring up a system correctly and fusing it accordingly along t...

AGU Fuse Powered Distribution Blocks
It seems most of the high-end car audio world refrains from using the AGU glass fuses now due to their poor design/false fails of the cartridges and the pressure clamp design on the fuse block itself. I have several of the PG powered AGU fuse blocks (ZBB12, BBK, etc.) and now I'm unsure if I should ...

I recall you helped me with a Portland seller who wouldn't ship a TBA set to me, so you picked it up and shipped it.
I didn't mind providing you the full set since we've done business before, enjoy!

Re: Chronicles of a ZPA0.3 restoration
Nice progress. I bought a ZX350 that looked in similar condition, it also included massive amounts of caked on dust/debris and cat hair in every nook and cranny. Took me a while just to clean it up to see what I was working with, came out pristine! Swapped the caps, fan and a couple other bits and i...

Re: Picked up something fun, fast and impractical
Being a die hard AWD Subaru owner I can see how you got to the point you're at. My 2002 WRX was modified with every bolt-on available at the time, 4-pot brake upgrade, front mount IC, larger turbo, suspension, wheels/tires, etc. it was a blast to drive on both the street and track....scared the pant...

Re: RMD install locations
mine was not hard to do even on the mustang. The ranger has the same cab as the explorer so it was a perfect fit but the mustangs went just as easy. How did you go about securing it to the roof liner or roof supports? I want to do it right (I would sound deaden the inside) and make sure it won't re...

Re: RMD install locations
I'm thinking of going with either this Subaru overhead compartment or just mounting the (2) RMD's I have to the roof liner section between the visors and calling it a day. This console will set me back $45.00 and I'll have to fabricate brackets to hold it to the roof supports. http://i3.photobucket....

Re: RMD install locations
maybe you could add an overhead consol like I did in my ranger and my mustang. I took an overhead consol from an explorer and mounted it up in the ceiling. I like them because they also have a compass/outside temp feature, as well as have a place to hold your garage door opener. I used the center p...

Re: Sub box mounting hardware
it will be better then not having it mounted but 1/4" isn't going to hold it if something happens like an accident. I use to just throw my stuff it and call it a day but more and more now I find myself looking at stuff I am building and asking what might happen if a worst case scenario like an...

Re: Sub box mounting hardware
I assume that is not a picture of your trunk? Do you have a pic of what your trunk & box look like? Im sure there is a simple & easy way. If you rebuild the trunk floor, you can actually design the brace into the floor & leave the box completely unmodified. Have a space the size of the ...
