The sundown is a SAZ2500, I've removed the self exciting regulator a put a 3 wire one in which has a set point of 14.8, although it is still doing 15v. I would probably look a just one with some decent 7's or 8's for the higher sub duties, I would only maybe drop down to 2.5 ported, but you will want to tune it low anyway so your port length will only get longer the smaller you go in box size.

I just installed my SD800.4 yesterday, thankfully out of the box it's sweet. I actually like the look of it with it's dark perspex top. It's just a nice simple design with a bit of class to it I reckon. Hopefully it does the name proud, time will tell I guess.
