Net or Gross?

Hey guys.
Have a quick question.
Working on my enclosure and looking at the manual for my old school Kicker XPL 15" Subs, it only says this:

X15c
1.8/50.9 Minimum
2.7/76.4 Maximum

(that's it)

I've no idea if this is a gross or net volume. Is there a standard?

You've given me inspiration!! I think I'm going to attempt to make kicks exactly like yours for my '02 Acura RSX. On second thought, I'm wondering if those would fit in my RSX?!? Hmmm. :wink: Only difference is the full-coverage grills I'd want and I'm concerned about the clearance with the clutch ...
