Re: difference between ti and zx?

I only have one experience with using an LD. I was running all early Punch DSM amps with and Audio Control LD. The LD was basically useless b/c if you dialed in any signal above 3 or 4 volts, the amps went into protection. I ended up taking the LD back as I had 3 volts from the head unit I was using.

My intent is to tune it to the point where it will sound good and happy with it. Nothing like when I used to compete IASCA and spent countless hours in the car tuning it, etc... The one thing I learn through out the years competing is don't matter how good it sound to you to a judge it may sound li...

I meant to ask before. Is it a standard b-series block or have you upgraded to a b16/b18?

I raced a modded gen 6 Si at the dragstrip once. I was bone stock, but he beat me by a car length at least. Much lighter car than my '07 Si.

Re: Reactor terminals in white?

So I put the amp on eBay. Got a message from a guy in portland that had the amp stolen from him 12 yrs ago. He seems legit on his claim. Says he had the cover till about 5 yrs ago when his house went into foreclosure. Says he doesn't expect anything from me but I think the right thing to do would b...

It's beautiful, and they are fast in a straight line. However it's not going to be a good track car, it's just far too heavy. Trying to track it is going to absolutely punish your rubber as well. Y-rated tires are too expensive for that imo. Hella, sleeper though. If those are Mopar, or Hemi badges ...

Re: Main difference between Oldschool TI and ZXTI

If your referring to this TI line http://download.phoenixphorum.com/Manuals/Amplifiers/Titanium/ , these are made in USA. The quality of components and pcb went down hill once they were built off shore. Agreed. All of the Zx/Ti lines were built here in the states. They started making certain lower ...

If that's a decent unit, it may be ideal for the Mrs. The lack of a brand name worries me, but nowadays pretty much everything's made in China anyway.

gotta love how a sub in a hatch sounds. My 97 ranger has the 3.0 v6 and I have never had an issue out of it myself. Prior to that I had a 91 ranger with a 2.3 and while it was reliable it left you downshifting on even the smallest hill if you were in 5th. The 3.0 never had that issue and it was goo...

The 4.0 v6 has 3 timing chains 1 in the front of the engine and 2 in the back....way tofuckyou in the drive thru.
Is that the V6 from the Taurus? I didn't think chains needed replacement, just adjustments every 100k or so.

I always wanted one of those in HS. I drove a 4 cyl mustang. The insurance on the Probe GT was $500 a month. Needless to say I had to stay with my 4 cyl.

I'm pretty sure that's the same engine as the MAZDA 6 and 626 pretty indestructible- Waaay better than the ford made engines of that era.
