Just to go back to this. I ended up wiring my RMD to the DD5. Outer two connections on RMD to one of the switched aux outputs on the DD5. Works just fine now :) It does appear to be reading a little bit low though. Say I have 12V at the DD5 (probed with two different DMM's) the RMD is reading 11.8V....

the panaflo fans in the V1 models(zx , zpa) bearing type was hydro wave, the adda fans in the V2 models were ball bearing. ball bearing will make way more noise..... I'll have a listen tomorrow.
