RSDc = 2 Fi = 0  Thanks for the input so far guys. Stipud, I'll probably be staying within the 500 watt sub amp range for quite some time since I'm really enjoying the sound of an A/B amp vs the 1200.1 Honestly, I was really impressed with the output and have kind of come to realize that 2 12&q...

Which would you rather run?

I've decided to scale my system back to a single 12" seeing about 500 watts from a Tantrum 500.2 Here's my question, based on amp power to sub RMS. I'm a huge fan of both subs in question, but I'm trying not to let brand loyalty sway me too much here. I just want to see what you guys think woul...

Wal-mart sells a "high grade" polyfill which I really like to use. Also, if you're in no huge hurry to mount the sub, the inside can be sprayed with 3M Super 77 and then you can stick the polyfill in, preventing later clumping or having gobs of it get caught in the sub. If you go this rout...

Mine are definitely more on the subtle side, but definitely show their presence when the volume is up. I listen to a lot of rock/metal and can't stand hearing a cymbal crash that sounds like distorted pink noise at 130db

Haha! I did the double-sticky tape trick to find the ideal location for mine. Just so happens they sound great down in the Scion factory kick panels. Getting them flush-mounted was a bitch, but they seem to have a good home down there. I really couldn't imagine them up any higher, but I've always fo...

welcome!

with the amount of wattage you have at hand, i would definitely lean towards a single 12" RSDc in a 1.3 net sealed enclosure, based on your listening preferences. you should end up with some extremely punchy and clear bottom end.

Yeah man, I saw it. Unfortunately I had to do some heavy rethinking last night. The job market down here in Tampa is sketchy at best and I really need to pull the reigns in so to speak, this includes putting the old lady's car stereo install on hold. I was really looking forward to getting her all s...

I would love to run A/B in my situation, but without upgrading the stock electrical, my car pretty much hates me for it. Call me crazy, but I can actually hear a significant difference in quality.

I'll probably be letting go of some Tantrum amps and Tantrum end caps. I also have a bunch more Knukonceptz stuff. Off the top of my head I think I've got more Krystal 1m and 2m RCA. Normally I'd grab up D4 subs in a heartbeat (I prefer to run a 4ohm sub setup), but since the old lady is going to be...

Yeah, I scoured the internet (at work of course) and it looks like the bay is pretty much the best price out there right now. Seems weird that the dual 2 ohms are more expensive that the dual 4 ohms. When I bought my D4s they were something like $259.00 shipped for the pair. Looks like I'll be spend...

Good place online to buy RSDc122 subs?

Do you guys know of a good online retailer to buy these from? I would go through fleabay using dimensionaudio, but have had a bit of a sour experience with them in the past. They seem to be the only guys selling the 2ohm version on e-bay right now. I'm looking to grab two for the upcoming install in...

I'm seriously jonesing to get my set of RSDc 12"s back in action. I'm getting a new enclosure built for them (1.17 cu ft each, sealed) and am using a Fi Audio Q in the meantime in a 1.3 cu ft sealed enclosure. Although the Fi is not a bad sub at all, I feel I've been spoiled by having the RSDc ...

I actually dinked around with the time correction on the head unit today during lunch, and I can already notice a significant difference in the staging. I've usually steered clear of trying to introduce any type of processing into my output source, but I have to admit, I'm really digging the differe...

Anyone have experience with Alpine's "Imprint"?

Just trying to gather some info from anyone that's actually used it. I've read quite a bit online from end users saying it dramatically improves their staging, but flattens their bass response dramatically; which I'm obviously not looking to do. As it stands, I'm actually quite pleased with the blen...
