So do all of the EA series of amps use ICE chipsets? Or have there been some different generations. Cause if it is using ICE it surely isn't class A/B. Good question. I was worried about that too. But every seller on ebay says that its AB. http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_dmptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ...

What the hell is he thinking?? Is this an isolated incident or is this how he is now conducting business?? Has he taken care of the first set of problems? Nope, he didnt offer anything. Its pretty much a closed case as far as he is concerned. I was really considering his new 6 ch beast too

Full class D

I've lost a lot of respect for Alpine lately    not b/c of these amps, just them in general.

I would LOVE to have the room for 2 xenon X200.4s  Maybe one day

The Arc minis are class D IIRC. Whatever it is its not AB :( Those amps would fit the install perfectly, but they are a bit expensive though.

Yet more complaints about Zed's work

I originally posted this in Randy's op-amp thread, but due to respect of all the posters there, I decided to add on to my existing thread... This is after Eric made the comment about Stephen Mantz... Speaking of Zed and op-amps, when I sent him my 2250 for testing, he offered to replace one of the o...

+1, convenience does not always = better quality.

Having +1000 songs are good for long road trips though.

thanks for replies. The newer XA series are full range class d (which is a turn off to me), but the prices on the older a/b class EA series are about half on ebay. Is it just me or eclipse used one sided boards? A bit prehistoric for amps these days. Maybe that's why they are so cheap priced  ...

Eclipse EA4000 amp

Im thinking about buying 2 Eclipse amps for the Honda Fit to run an active 3 way + sub for comps and as my daily driver.

These are the smallest class A/B amps that I can find

Anyone have any thoughts on this amp?

No, I actually opened up a dispute. Those have since ended and ebay decided in my favor. But there is still no negative feedback option.

Sellers on ebay can't leave negative feedbacks?

Weird, I have several buyers that never paid and I went to leave a negative feedback and the only options are "positive" and "leave feedback latter" Man, that mean that the buyer will always have the upper hand since they can only leave negative feedbacks Absolute BS!

Is that hand polished? It looks nice :D

I would advise against that gold paint. I tried it on screws and it looks like poo. No gloss at all, its more yellow then gold iirc.

Then I guess you never heard a real IB set-up then.

They can get quite loud and be able dig low as hell. But you do lose that tight impact from sealed enclosures tho.
