So do all of the EA series of amps use ICE chipsets? Or have there been some different generations. Cause if it is using ICE it surely isn't class A/B. Good question. I was worried about that too. The Arc minis are class D IIRC. Whatever it is its not AB Those amps would fit the install perfectly, but they are a bit expensive though.

+1, convenience does not always = better quality.

Having +1000 songs are good for long road trips though.

THe JLs are a bit out of my price range, besides, I'm not big on JL.

thanks for replies. The newer XA series are full range class d (which is a turn off to me), but the prices on the older a/b class EA series are about half on ebay. Is it just me or eclipse used one sided boards? A bit prehistoric for amps these days. Maybe that's why they are so cheap priced :idea: ...

No, I actually opened up a dispute. Those have since ended and ebay decided in my favor. But there is still no negative feedback option.

I would advise against that gold paint. I tried it on screws and it looks like poo. No gloss at all, its more yellow then gold iirc.
