I always liked alpine, but count me out if it's close to $1k. Might just head online to crutchfield, best buy or something similar and filter the results to my likings and see what comes up.

More than likely you will need an adapter for the wheel controls (cost around 50-125 bucks depending on your vehicle). That way you can keep any chime warnings (such as an open door, or headlights on after engine is off). Ok thanks will need that then. Is there a brand that sticks out more then oth...

New head unit
I'm looking for a new head unit that connects to a smart phone (preferably wireless). Also the steering wheel has radio controls, so would still like to be able to use that if possible. The current factory head unit is a double din. Any ideas?

Its a decent Suv, has a good bit of room in it. Does it have the false floor in the back like the older models?
