The 7000 does look nice. I've not had a chance to look at one in person though and from the pictures they almost look cheap made. I'm not saying they are though and not talking just about the 7000. The 7000 looks good, but i'm not sure if I want to pay that much for one when I don't really need all ...

Not looked at Pioneer yet, but I have checked out some of the Kenwoods. I've owned both Pioneer and Kenwood in the past (back in 1990 for the pioneer and then 93 or so for the Kenwood). I wonder if Denon still makes hu's. I had one back in the mid 90's that had a very clean and warm sound to it. I t...

That's what I was afraid of. That's what i've noticed too about the new alpines is if you want a 4v preout you have to really get one of their high end models. I don't need any ipod integration, built in eqs, or anything fancy like that either. I just need a good HU that will have excellent SQ and 4...

Hmm, you are going to be utilizin...

Alpine or Eclipse

Has anybody had a chance to test out the new eclipse CD1000-5000 units and the new Alpine units. From a side by side comparison it looks as though the Eclipse could be a better deal all the way around, but i've never owned an eclipse though. I'm not sure if I really like the new Alpine head units ei...

Just some pics of the ms2125 and mps2500 uncovered. Seems as though it was really cold and rainy all weekend I couldn't really do anything. I did manage to get the ms2125 amp box modified to accomodate the plexi and frame. Thanks, I just wish it would stop raining at least so I can finish up my trun...

Couple more pics from a few days ago. Whe I started these I thought about having them painted a titanium/chrome finish look and have the plexi underneath it. Not sure right now really how I want to do it or even use these or not. Those were not glued together yet as you can see there are a few of th...

True, they would look good that way. I'll have to flip them and take a couple of pics and post them in the next day or so :)

Cheers,

That's interesting for sure. What would you suggest for a thickness for the plexi, 3/8" ? I do think i'll go that route instead of using a board with carpet to cover the area instead. It will just look much nicer I think with the plexi. You think 1 big sheet of plexi or 3 smaller ones to just c...

PLEXI!!! Why hide such gorgeous amps? Just make sure you have proper ventilation for them. That's what I was thinking as well. I would love to do away with the board on top and use some thick plexi for the boxes. I know they will need to be vented, but i've not had to make sure my amps were really ...

My god man, have you been storing those amps in hermetically sealed bags? They are GORGEOUS. :) 94-95 they were in my Corolla's trunk with mdf board covering them so I could use my trunk. From 99 - 2002 or so they were in boxes. Then from 2003- now they were stored in the amp boxes you see now whic...

Hi, just thought I would share my install progress. I've only got pictures of my trunk as of right now. I will post more pictures as I get more things done.
