Re: post a pic of your latest purchase

Nice Ajaye. Sweet deal on the MS275 and the Alpine. Alpine HU + PG MS series = two great combinations. I don't know anything about that model Alpine but for that price, I don't think you could have gone wrong?

Re: General questions during the purchasing of audio equiptm

Pick up a better head unit, I think it is the moast important part of your system? I love the Apline units. If you want a great one at a reasonable price, then go with the Alpine 9887 from ebay or craigslist. It is verry versatile and a great SQ unit. Or you could find one from another phorum member...

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time lately Scott. Family is verry special, and it is important that you support each other. I just became grandpa just over a week ago, and it the greatest thing. You may want to watch the welding. The fumes are toxic, full of heavy metals and many other impurit...

Re: air tools?

There is a nice little trick for keeping the compresser noise way down. Stick the compresser up against the outside back of the shop and build a little shed or building around it just big enough to cover and protect it. This also conserves room in the shop and eliminates eyesore. Insulateing it will...

Re: air tools?

I have some HDC brand air tools that have worked well and held up to a lot of abuse. Pritty sure they are made in China. I boughty them out of a semi trailer sell in the 90s for an incredable deal. I also have a like new Chicago Pneumatic impact that is junk.

I think double boxed is also a must with heavy electronics. But unfortunatly, it is when someone ships you something and they they think they have done a good job packing no mater what someone has advised.

Re: Shipping Damage...

Yes. Verry frustraiting indeed. And this did happen to me recently, with a nice MS-275. It was packed verry poorly and did have insurance. While the lady at the poast office and the one who shipped had different opinions on how the insurance claim should be handled, time ran out on fileing a claim a...

Hands on is the best teacher. I did take a two week class at a tech collage scheduled through my local union hall for a particular job welding alluminum buss in a alluminum manufacturing plant. But that was over 15 years ago so I don't rember all the little tricks. But one moast important thing with...
