I can't think of anything you're overlooking, but maybe I can help talk you through it nonetheless! :) I totally understand your desire to have a level adjustment on the midbass drivers. I've installed and tuned several systems with dedicated midbass drivers and the level matching can be a bit trick...

I haven't figured out what the problem is yet.

Is your problem affecting all of the channels? Is the noise present when there aren't any rca's connected to the amplifier? Have you tried another source like an ipod directly into the amplifier?

Okay, I couldn't wait...is that a special magazine in the 229? Or is it just a different butt plate? That's exactly what I need for my big ol' mitts!

also 109 is pretty high in general for rsd's. they have the 2ohm versions on sonicelectroncs for $40 I hope you know that the RSd's on that website are a version that only has a 350 watt RMS.... Ok in general, I want some subs that are going to rattle my car. What will I get with the PG's? The Alpi...

By going slowly I meant I would not be pushing them slowly rather then actually slowing the router down. I will not be taking much material off so I do not think it will be a problem. Slow on both counts is highly recommended! Even when you're taking a small amount off it never hurts to stagger you...

With good carbide tungsten bits (I recommend Whiteside bits) you can cut any non-ferrous metal with a router. I only recommend it though if you are very experienced with a router inverted in a table as it can be extremely dangerous. Like you said, slow the blade down and use some sort of lubricant. ...

Fantasy Football

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!??!! My fantasy football league had a few participants drop out at the last minute. I'm looking for a few more people who would like to participate so we don't have to scrap it all and ruin the fun for everyone else. It's a ten team league and there is a $50 entry. I...

Yeah, I wasn't thinking I could get it covered under warranty! I was just concerned about keeping it in the exact condition I received it in should the need for a return arise. Fortunately, it seems that the seller is being very understanding and I should be able to take a closer look.

I was thinking the same thing. Also of note, the two crossover frequency potentiometers are extremely stiff. I know the Ti pots sort of suck, but I've never seen any like these! I was thinking maybe the daughter board had come loose in shipping and caused both of these issues. I want to crack it ope...

The X200.4 is a great amp for the configuration you're considering. I'm using mine to power a set of Ti elites in my kick panels and a single RSDC12. The amp performs beautifully. I have to decide whether to add another two channel for my Ti9's or check out another set of components with a bit bette...

Ti500.4 problem during bench test

I tested a newly purchased Ti500.4 yesterday and had a problem that I thought someone might be able to help me diagnose. The main issue is in the left front channel. There is a constant high frequency whine that is emitted regardless of gain setting or any other adjustments. There is music output on...

Wowsers! That Pontiac could have really benefited from a Molecular Bonded Shell and some High Traction Drop Downs. Any dummy would also know that you needed to have the Passive Laser Restraint system (my personal fav!) fitted in order to safely disengage Super Pursuit Mode!

With those dimensions I would probably do "Phoenix Gold" spelled out in the style that matches the surfer oval. You know, the one mhyde was thinking about for his euro style plates. Or you could do three smaller surfer ovals. When you use the ovals though I think you should tilt it up so t...

most 6" midbass drivers are designed to work IB, ie- ina door or vented in the A pillars, stuffing them in a tupperware bowl won't do them any favours.. unless your going AP (not a bad idea). x2!!! And I think this advice is even more applicable to midrange drivers. A small sealed enclosure wi...

One issue is that with a manual transmission vehicle if a thief breaks the column and wants it bad enough they could push start it by dumping the clutch. You could get a little extra piece of mind by implementing a safety like that for an ignition kill or fuel kill as opposed to a starter kill.

Most car stereo usb inputs only accomodate thumbdrives and ipod/iphone. Some of the Alpine usb's won't even work with the apple devices as they want you to use the full-speed opossums cable. To further complicate things most older radios with the opossums cable wont charge the newer opossums and iph...
