Multimeter method is flawed.

Oh and I did make the mistake of slicing right through the cone in 3 spots making 1" slices.

It was a Souundstream Exact 12 with the smaller dustcap.

Nice write up. Did something similar but only had to re attach the surround. The only bit of advice I'll add is to cut the business card into 1/4" to 5/16" strips and run them all around the pole piece leaving no gaps. Not sure if it makes a difference but I wanted to be sure mine was cent...

Are those actual sections of heatsink or did you fab them up? They look real good.

When I read "older" in teh title I was expecting early '90s. That install isn't that old, the deck is maybe 3 years old at the oldest. Nice install anyway. Yeah, I would really appreciate to see some installs from the early 90s... Anyone that have any pics from that time? I have about 6 m...
