Re: We're back!
Don't forget, this forum was originally PG's. They shut it down, and we carried the torch! Plus there are certain advantages to not being tied down to companies... WE control the content (how many company forums do you know with titty sections?) ;). Of course we don't want to tarnish the reputation ...

Should be able to get your driver here. Just select "Audio" and download "Analog Devices-Driver".

We're back!
Very sorry for the downtime folks. Last Thursday we got hammered by spam scripts from China and eastern europe, which were trying to exploit flaws in the PHPBB code. Likely so that they could gain access to the system and install malware. My host (Dreamhost) noticed the huge rise in traffic, and dis...

Re: Anyone Heard the Ti2 Subs?
Though I haven't heard the Ti2's personally, they are supposedly based off the RSD competitions, which I thought sounded way better than W7's, IDMax, etc.

Re: PG? Audio Source Amp 100
I have three AS amps and they have been great. I would spring for the new line though (Amp-102 if I am not mistaken). Those are reportedly Triple Darlington, supposedly very close to the RSD series output internally. This puppy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AudioSource-AMP-102-50-Watt-Stereo-150-Watt-Mon...

Holy crap, have you been using your headphone out till now? Yessir. My laptop is the main device on the TV (bluetooth keyboard and trackpad). I had an RCA running from my TV to the preamp for the other HDMI stuff. Now everything is run to the Denon, fully digital, and only one HDMI output to the TV...

It's still possible to do if your receiver has an aux input. You'd have to watch out for feedback though!

Re: Receiver Options
Ultimately I was scared off of Onkyo because of their recent HDMI reliability issues. I know my parents had to return their receiver once already. What kind of problems were they having? I want to be able to look out for it with my dad's receiver. The HDMI switching/upscaling chips end up with inte...

Indecision was driving me nuts so I pulled the trigger on that Denon. I want my week back! So much time fretting over every tiny option. Anyways if I don't like it, I can bring it back :) Philiac, I love the slim Marantz, but they weren't on sale here, and I couldn't snag that used one on craigslist...

Re: Receiver Options
Thx for the tips Mike, I was hoping you would post. Yeah, HK is not my thing now that they are cheapo Chinese designed marketing company. The Pioneer receivers are class D too, which would be cool if they were smaller, but less nice in a full size AVR. I def like Denon/Yamaha/Onkyo/Marantz the most ...

I have a lead on an Onkyo TX SR 876 for $500 clams. Might go check it out tomorrow... seems pretty sweet. I doubt if the boxing day deals (Canadian black friday) will be any better. Maybe worth waiting to see the flyers...

Receiver Options
I'm finally making the BIG MOVE from 2.1 to 5.1!!! This means I will need to replace my Audiosource Amp Seven T/Tuner Two combo with a new receiver. I don't know much about receivers, but I am sure I want some sort of MultEQ, 3+ HDMI inputs, and a good discrete amp section. My budget is around...

Re: Strapping 2 TI800.1
I'm running 4 single 4 ohms subs to a final load of 4 ohms right now in a single chamber box, its just easer the tune the having 2 subs per amp and tuning 2 amp to match perfect. Dude, DON'T strap that setup! Run them in parallel, 2 ohms and two subs per amp. To get a 4 ohm load you'd have to run y...

Re: Strapping 2 TI800.1
^^ A multimeter should be enough to ensure they are set to the same voltage
BTW do you NEED to run these strapped? Because if you don't, then DON'T. 2 ohm stereo load will work better than 4 ohm mono anyways, and you save a ton of headache.

Re: Strapping 2 TI800.1
Yeah... DON'T try the Ti1200.1. It's really a bridged 2ch amp inside! 800.1 is true mono, so it's no problem.
