Against better judgement, I have run the RSD1200.1 on 2 15" Type Rs at @1ohm or a bit less. It didn't ever get warm at more than 30 minutes of moderate listening and a few songs of heavy bass. It was hotter sitting in the car all day than it actually running seemingly. It did go into protection...

What are you planning to use the 1200s for? If sub duty, you may want to consider an RSD1200.1 in your choices. Also, there is someone selling 2 tantrum 1200.1s for a great price. I love my M100s. I really FEEL I heard a noticeable difference between my zx600ti, MS2125 and the M100 on the the same s...

As a last resort, you may want to look inside the unit for a small battery which usually powers the volatile memory (RAM). If the password and other EQ settings are on there, you may be able to reset everything... ...or make your EPX useless.

If you have not been to this site, they have everything then you could just source what they sell at other sites: http://store.mp3car.com/Audio_Radio_and_Video_s/42.htm I've been using an HP thinclient for a few years and it does fine. It runs off of 12 volts and fits inside a typical glovebox. It r...

I would have, but I am not ready to repair the vias (bottom solder pad) vs. lifting the capacitor and soldering on the + and - planes. I went in too hot while removing the originals. I am assuming these are more for reserve capacity vs filtering, so the only disadvantage would be current using 6 lea...

Thanks for the info, I've got the black Matsushita Panasonics from digikey for @ $5.60. I bought 8 to do my MS amps, but the M100s are soooo much easier, so they went in first. I used 3 8200 uf caps on the power side instead of the 6 2200 uf. All available at digikey. I think someone should do a How...

M100 Question...

Hello forum! I picked up a couple of M100s in great condition and opened them up to get the capacitor info for replacement and noticed one set on the rails were black, 5200 uf and 50 volts and the second was this: http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh29/GabeDet/IMAG0158.jpg They were obviously bigge...

This info, even the help of repairing these amps is why this forum is PERFECT! Jason, I read up on your ZX600 upgrade, but I don't remember if there was an end/result. I would like to know how it went and if it is possible to beef up a tantrum 500.2 in the way you modded the outputs of the ZX600. I ...

I've only removed the top covers and the board layout looks identical aside from the silk screens. I read on here that the ZX600ti had a gold plated circuit board, but from the top I could not tell. There are some resistors that are grey/blue between the amps and the capacitors for the power are dif...

Since there is a post on this already, I have a ZX600ti and TI600.2. The 600.2 does not have Zero Point silked on the board. Are they still identical aside from the gold plating? Another member had a 600.2 with Zero Point silked on his board. Thanks! ...I am going to use them for a 12" L5 each,...
