Sellers on ebay can't leave negative feedbacks?

Post by vin78 »

Weird, I have several buyers that never paid and I went to leave a negative feedback and the only options are "positive" and "leave feedback latter"

Man, that mean that the buyer will always have the upper hand since they can only leave negative feedbacks

Absolute BS!

YES, this is what you do.....go to the items that the buyers did not pay for.....in the box to the right....select solve a problem....then say the buyer did not pay for the item....open a dispute....after 7 days if they don't pay...you give them a strike....3 strikes....and that account goes bye-bye

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO DO.....B/C IF THEY HAVE VIOLATIONS AGAINST THEIR ACCOUNT THEY CAN BE BLOCKED 8)

If you do this, you also get ALL OF YOUR MONEY BACK INCLUDING THE LISTING FEES AND THE FINAL VALUE FEES.....IT COSTS YOU NOTHING WHEN ALL IS DONE AND SAID

Man I NEED to make a Ebay tutorial

No, I actually opened up a dispute. Those have since ended and ebay decided in my favor. But there is still no negative feedback option.

That is why you give them a strike....3 strikes and that account gets permanently deleted....this is far more effective than negative feedback as you can just be gone with the buyer all together after 3 times of their BS

Not to mention....if you give them a strike it is a violation on their account.....I have my account set to automatically block anyone who has had 1 policy violation in 12 months

you could still say something negative verbally but as a postive entry... at least still ppl might/could read it ... OR watch them for a while and see if they list something, buy it and then leave the neg and explain why in the feedback...

I wouldn't suggest taking the second option....your account can be permanently deleted for feedback extortion

i wouldnt do it under my own account... i would creat a fake one and do it like once or whatever... but i would simply leave my opinion about the seller regardless of this transaction or one previously... LIKE: buy something, pay for it, make sure your back yard is tight... then leave neg come up with something like... "sold to one be4, renegged & backed out, had to buy from him to lv neg - buyer/seller beware"

your simply staing your opinion of of the transaction(s). Which lies withing the feedback policy... no threat, no personal attacks, no profanity, etc. And providing that you would maybe even be able to use your real account, versus making one up.

The feedback would be eligible for removal.....in other words that negative feedback would last all of 2 minutes before it was permanently removed

why what makes you say that??? not that it matters to me, but curious as to why you say that?? i think it would stick like glue... it's no breaking of feedback policies.

I had someone leave neg feedback for me, and we didnt even conduct a transaction. I think it was someone just getting back at me for something i said about them. But he hit the buy it now, asked if i would wait 12 weeks for check to come and i declined. He then left neg feedback stating that I wouldnt ship to italy. Which 1) is a lie 2) we didnt even complete the transaction... we never transacted. I called ebay and said that they would only remove if 1) there was personal attacks or info revealed, 2) profanity, 3) and something else.... so that they wouldn't remove it if it was simply an opinion stated of how the buyer/seller feels about the transaction... we didnt even "transact", he wasnt even from italy, and he was allowed to leave neg feedback saying that I wouldnt ship to italy and I am a lier etc... and he was able to have it stick and stay... it's still there to this day and we didnt even do a transaction.

what about that i mentioned above would warrant removal??? Nothing personal, nothing profane, etc??? simplay staing an opinion of the transaction as ebay permits to be left on feedback?

All you had to say was 2 words

Feedback Extortion

and if you did not complete the transaction...

i.e....buyer never paid.....you never shipped....it would be eligible for automatic removal.....you would need to do a withdraw from the transaction for this to happen......THE BEST THING YOU CAN ALWAYS DO IS CALL EBAY BEFORE YOU TAKE ANY ACTION....THEY WILL GUIDE YOU, EITHER THAT OR THEY JUST LOVE ME

Plus I have personally had over 25 accounts permanently deleted from Ebay......I had 1 person's account deleted b/c they claimed I sold them a refurbished amp and left me negative feedback....I had it removed and had that girl's account deleted.....took all of 5 days.

yeah I tried all of that, spoke to ebay... they instructed me through the whole process, and the feedback stuck. I was back and forth with them... now this is some time ago, aprx a year, so maybe rules and policies have changed for them... but back then there was nothin i could do, and i was on phone with ebay a number of times... dude hit buy it now... wanted to pay with a check within like 12 weeks... i declined and called ebay. they said for me to submit a mutual withdrawl from the transaction, the buyer declined. BUT he got the idea... he knew what he was doing anyways. I have my suspicision of who it was anyways... and if fact (well not gonna go there)... but the "buyer", had address in NC in a town and on a street that didnt even exist, phone number on file w/ ebay was BS, etc etc.. and simply explained to them that i think i know what the deal is/was that someone just wanted my reputation tarnished as he felt i had done un-to-him. So he hit the buy it now on me and did the same exact thing, and there was no way to remove the feedback... which was ludacris, B/C we didnt even conduct a transaction, ebay could see that this guy was a farce, acct opened just a day prior, and hiot buy it now, said he'd pay in 12 weeks, i declined he left neg feedback and it all stuck to me like glue. Ebay says that it was simply he feelings/opinion of how the transaction went down... I SAID WHAT! What are you talking about??? Guys at ebay can see the guy is a fake, the city he put doesnt even exist in NC, yadda yadda yadda... and nothing doing, it stuck. and all becasue someone wanted to tarnish my rep as he felt i had done un-to-him. I think you might even know this guy, i know many others do on here... but i just cant prove it which sucks... but i'salmost aro ht has pssed ad wil not showon my radar here in short bit.

extortaion is more like "i'm gonna leave neg feedback unless you give me back half my money"... or leave neg feedback and say "i'll remove it if you return half my money" ya know like using it for leverage... that would be extortion moreso, wouldnt it be? wouldn't that moreso be an example of feedback extortion ??? I dunno I dont like the whole feedback deal on ebay anyways... and know that it is a bitch to have any neg feedback removed... i have tried twice with no luck.

RULES HAVE CHANGED....the feedback extortion policy is much more extensive now.....if you buy something from me JUST to leave me negative feedback.....you can kiss that account goodbye....also remember that Ebay just bought PP...they own both now.....so now they know everything...know what I mean......and when the new Ebay policies take effect on June 14th......BAD BUYER'S...YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT THEM.....THIS MARKETPLACE WILL BE SAFE.....I HELP EBAY EVERYDAY....I AM CONSTANTLY ON THE PHONE WITH THEM, LETTING THEM KNOW OF ALL THE BS THAT GOES ON....AND HOW THEY COULD CUT DOWN ON IT
