Baseball Megathread

It's the unofficial (official) opening night tonight for the new season!! The Red Sox and the A's played a couple of games over in Tokyo last week and the "official" opener, but tonight is really the opening of the new season. Let's see if the Red Sox can repeat this year!!

Play two games over seas than come back for exhibition games. MLB managment should be shot in the face
By the way from BOSTON and my religion is the red sox. That week of skipping school for the 07 parade was top 5 times of my life.

Very true, been falling apart at mid year since 1998. It was the Jeffery Maier incident in the 1997 playoffs that have jinxed the orioles ever since.

Perfect game ruined. Kinda slow moving but the replays at the end really tell the story.

Ive got a question aboot this fatmans sport. My brother and I where watching the news and when the sports highlights came on, we were thinkingf why the hell would you have so many day games and have the stands almost empty????????? I know they play a STUUUUUUUUUPID amount of games during the reg season, but how do they play so many games with empty stands and still have the money to pay the rediculous amounts of money in contracts to the players?

Well! I just got home from little league state finals. We made it there again this year, but came up short. This was the year we were trying to go to the little league world sieres.. Looks like that 4 year dream is over. The one good thing that came this year is my son hit a 3 run homer in sectional to put us in the state finals. It was our last at bat and we had 2 outs. He had 2 balls and 1 strike.. What's crazy is last year he hit a grand slam to put us in the state finals. Even crazyier! It was against the same team..

Well, the season is winding down and to say the Red Sox had a bad year is a HUGE understatement!!!
