was able to take care of the mounting of the pod today. Didn't take any pics as it doesn't look any different, its just held down now. Now I need to take care of the final details... Take it all back out and start by vacuuming the carpet under it, and then I can reinstall the pod and start installing the electronics and wiring it. I could use some opinions on which grill you like for the cover.

Which one do you like? The green came out really bright on the thicker mesh but its just the flash as its really almost black until under direct light. I kinda like the thinner ones look myself but the thicker is more solid....

So that settled it and I glued in the thicker mesh this morning while taking care of last minute details for the install.

I think It could be defined as 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb sack but it all fits. The Sirius module kind of gets lost under the DD10 but it was not that important to me to see it. Now comes the next challenge of wiring it all and making sure it all will work, no small feat honestly as you can see the wire nest above it....

is it working now?

Man my back is sore from the wiring. One of those days when I finished up, admired my work and was both happy and sad. I was happy that I was able to hide the majority of the wiring as I had planned but short of the 4 awg wires from yesterday to today it doesn't look much different.

Image

Need to find another 4 awg ring terminal for the ground on the cap, need to find the aluminum/plexi rings the power wires are supposed to come through(currently cleaning the shop looking), and then just wire up the rmd. I need to solder wires to the rmd as I had to cut the portion of the board off that held the phone plug as it would have hit the side of the pod. Can't make an omelet...........

well the new radar detector works awesome, save my gravy the other day as I was about to open it up on a nice open country road. I thought it was having a glitch for as long as it was showing a warning but finally he popped up over the hill following another car. Can't wait till I get a laser warning and find out how well the shifters work.

Got the console installed and happy that it still fits with all the new wiring installed. Also put in the new parking brake boot that matches the seats nicely, now just waiting on the console cover to finish the custom leather pieces off.

Can't wait to get started back on the doors now with the warmer weather.

Thanks, the stereo on this got put on hold from a wreck last summer. Rebuilding it now and then will go back into the stereo. You can wire almost any deck into the mach system, its not all that hard if you need help. Deep forest green is my fav as well and I will be repainting it that color hopefully shortly, along with some ghost black accents.
