Post by crtlv »

Heres a few pics of a Mercedes S500 install im doing.
Im installing the following product
Phoenix gold Ti 800.4 Amp
Phoenix gold Ti 2500.1 Mono amp
Phoenix gold Ti 65cs components In front and rear doors
Phoenix Gold R series 4 Inch coax in front kick pannels
Three Phoenix gold Ti12D subs in custom portet box.
Stinger SP680 Battery.
Stinger Spc5050 Capacitor
All Stinger 2 guage and 4 guage Power and ground wire,300 Amp battery isolator,2 Circuit breakers, radial fans and fuse holders and fuses.
All running off a Pionner Avic-z120BT

It is supposed to be a SQ style build but with lots of headroom,Nothing flashy and has to be as hidden as possible for now.Hopefully the customer Allows me the freedom later on to show alot more and rework it.

update on this install.

I have to make a new box for 2 12s instead of the 3.

Seems that the customer after spending a week with the car says its WAY TOO LOUD!
When we went over the build he was told this car would blow your ears away and it seems that he didnt believe me when i Told him that.Well suffice to say he has gotten 2 tickets for the sound system and now wants to step down from 3 subs to 2 in the hopes it wont get him in trouble!!
How i love that complaint !!!!

Switching from 3 to 2 probably isn't worth his effort. We're talking less than 1.5dB difference on the same power. Why not install an LPL to let him turn it down from the dash?

Nice install.

But why are you covering the "PHOENIX GOLD" but leaving stinger visable?
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

Those come with the amp to keep the label getting scuffed I think. I assume they would be removed in the finished install.

yes the tags were removed after install. The amps we under the trunk mat and not visible.Hopefully next go arround he lets me show more but this guy is a bit neurotic.
I suggested a lpl but hes dead set on steping down to two subs
