So far so good. Unfortunately the guy I bought this amp from hot glued Velcro on the bottom of the main heat sink. So I have a lot of work trying to clean it all off before it can be re-finnished.

hot glue isn't hard to take off. Heat up a putty knife.

Not all that much of a fan of the new color myself but to each his own right?

Lol. I like it. Hopefully I'll get the rest of it done and back together tomorrow. It will look a lot different when it's done.

Made a little progress today. Pulled out all the old gear and wiring. Got new power wires and ti amps installed. Got the bass cube and distoro's installed.

One thing I noticed was the fuses in the distro are to large for the ti 500.4's
Does anyone have any 60 & 80 amp fuses that fit this distro? Also looking for a zero point sealed fuse holder for under the hood.

Well I have what's installed so far powered up. And there's a new love of my life. The ti bass cube. This thing is awesome. And the ti800.1 is pushing the 2 ti10d4's hard. I can't believe how hard these 10's are hitting.

I can't wait to get the other two ti subs so I can put the other ti 800.1 in and start the box build. It's going to be a tight fit, but I'll make it work.

All done. I ran it all day today on the bench. Very happy with how it turned out.
I tied the LEDs into the remote terminal inside, worked great. When you put the amp up to an original I think this one looks sharp.
I'm thinking of doing three more rsd1200.1's, and running them with 4 ti or elite 12's if I could find four of them.

my only complaint is that I like to see the light from the leds, but not the leds themselfs. I like how half is covered and myself would have probably painted a black strip across the rest of the bottom portion to block them out. This way the light would highlight the parts in the amp, rather then highlighting the lights themselfs.

Might just do that on my own rsd's.

Do you mean run one amp for each side of the coil? How do you get the 2400 watts. Would running two amps to a single sub not be unbalanced? And to achieve this I'm assuming that I would need two ti elite 12d2's in order to get the full output of the rsd120.1's.
I've never done anything like that so not really sure how to set something like that up. Do you think I would get more out of 2 12's rather than 4 10's. I can fit 4 10's nice facing forward no problem. But to get 2 12's I would halve to face downward to the floor.

I really am happy with how it turned out. I also thought the LEDs looked cool half covered. And it looks much better in person that the pic does. Because the LEDs are bright it messes with the contrast on the camera. But I thought the same thing about adding a strip to cover the LEDs completey so you only see the light inside. I also can't decide whether I like it better with or without the screen. The plexy is really thin.

you could always test the idea with a strip of electrical tape over the other side, or some vinyl that could be peeled off later if you didn't like it.

What a difference, pulled out the jl c3650's and installed the ti6's this morning. I thought it sounded absolutely great before but the ti's made the hair stand on my arms. It was well worth the wait. After 15 years of waiting I'm finally getting what I wanted.

Hopefully I will finish tomorrow. Can't decide on how to finish these. Paint or wrap. Paint is easy but doing a wrap might look better. Only I've never done it before. So I'll think about it. Any ideas would be great.

Looks good but um... shouldn't the tweets be at the bottom, so that you have much less path length difference between left and right?

I take it you tried every possible mounting location with double sided tape before making irreversible modifications to your vehicle? ;)

I'm no expert by any means on optimal speaker locations. But I did try different locations. This was in my opinion what sounded the best. I thought they were a little to in your face mounted at the bottom. It's hard to tell from the pic but the tweets are actually reflecting off the glass. Also the processor is doing a great job of fixing time delay issues. The way it is setup now the staging sounds dead center from all four listening positions. Also of note there will be a set of ti9's and a set ti6's and a set of ti5's in the doors and kicks. So the front stage is going to sound decent I think.
Thanks for the advice though, I am learning as I go. I spend a great deal of time reading threads in the Phorum.
