I have never been able to get into the box/donk/bubble fad myself. I thought to be official it needed some kind of kids theme like skittles or mcdonalds before it had any street cred?

Yep, there are a few in my neighborhood. One advertises for the candy "Hot Tamales" (you guess it, candy paint red), another advertises "Dr.Pepper" (yep maroon color). There's more but like ttocs mentioned, they have a kids theme going on.

Man I sure do miss my 87 Lincoln Town car....it was in mint condition and was the "signature" series (all electric inside with the chrome side panels all around the outside). I remember driving it, every bump/hump/pot hole it hit I couldn't even feel it, it will fly/float over them at least that's what it felt like inside the car.

There's definitely a difference.. The cars y'all are talking about are more hood cars.. 71,72,73 impala/caprice are true donks.. Verts are the number 1 choice.. My paint flips 7 different colors.. Its a clean Donk.. I dint build it from the start, but there was many things that had to be done for it to be rite.. There's around 150k in it the way it sits now.. She runs!!

White noise!. Thanks for posting the Picts, but that other vert is a 73 Pontiac.. We were talking CHEVYS.. Please remove that Pontiac and replace it with a Chevy.. Let's keep it on the Chevy vibe..

I would consider any car with wheels big enough to make it difficult to drive, and possibly worth more then the car, ghetto fab myself. The kids themes to me just seems like the modern/hood version of the brown panel van with "free candy" written on the side.

Update...

This is a qiuck update from Denmark.

As some of you guy´s know, my tantrum 10 farad powergrid set fire last week.
This was a great opportunity to split lt apart and clean the car completely.
So now that I've have the rear side panel´s out, I could just make something nice out of it. :metal:

I always have something delicious ice on the shelf that can be thrown in the car.. like 2 set´s of JBL Gti series MkI mid´s! (Eisa award winner)
1 set og 500 Gti
1 set of 600 Gti

These rear side panels are being upholstered with red alcantara ans some Bowtie "elevation like emblem" Like the doorpanels chrerolet letter´s..

Enjoy the weekend bro´s

The entire install looks great. I like all of the custom work that went into it.

Those rear panels look great too. I Have always been a "less is more" kinda guy, but the quantity of products in your ride you did a great job of installing it and making it look good.

Just goes to show, never give up on dreams.

My dream is to own a 1958 impala. I'd like it original on the exterior and interior but with a modern Chevy v8 (ls3, new LT1).

1958 impala with LS engine is a AWESOME build.
Here in Denmark it would cost shit load of money, not to build, but getting it on the street with tax and handling from the Danish goverment.. It is a looooooong story to tell!
For short words : we are living in most expensive country in the World takning about car tax and toll!

Example:
Buy a Classic car i USA, 10.000$
Shipping to DK 2000$
Plus Tax 37% in Danish country

If the car aint Danish it has to pay license plate tax once, that is 105% of the todays market price!

Then Road tax
And insurance!

So... When i a car on eBay about 10k i have to calculate 55% into the that.

Stupid country, land if taxes !

Yes taxes suck. California is pretty bad too. I don't really want to get into the taxes, but I hear what you are saying. The car itself goes for anywhere from $30k to $100k, depending on condition and if it's a convertible. I like e non-convertible better which is cheaper.

Anyways, sorry for the thread jack, I am an impala fan and yours is awesome.

I hear you on the dream note.. I too always dreamed to have a PG build in a old school AMERICAN classic. In my opinion there is no better way than an American classic... In America the classics are the loop hole.. You can buy one for cheap and hook it up. The best part is there is a insurance company that you pay a 1 time fee for the whole year and the cost is sooooo cheap..

I'm going to pick my impala up from the stereo shop rite now.. I got it ready for spring break.. I just picked up a 63 vette with the split window.. That's going to be a project..

Hey!! If you ever need any parts for your impala or anything for it just let me know.. The biggest show in America happens in Daytona speed way.. All the vendors are there.. Also! Its easy to get parts that might be hard to locate there.. I'd be more than happy to help you out.. I appreciate people like you in other countries that appreciate AMERICAN classics.. Joerg has a sick charger over there as well..

Have you ever thought about importing some classics to resell over there? I understand the taxes there and its high, but classics have a low value when it comes to pricing them out.. There is a wide range.. I find deals all the time..

I think Bangladesh taxes on cars might be the highest in the world.. When I heard what it was I was shocked.. It was so high I forgot because it don't sound rite.. Something like 300%.. Don't quote me on that but.... Yeah!!

I'm liking what your doing on dream... Keep up the great work/vision

Thanks JK
It´s highly apprecitated that people from other side of the pond is helpfull! Even with the PG gear..
People here in DK do not appreciate the value of a PG product like all the bro´s in here!

yaaa...

I do need some parts though  , very rare and hard to find. Have been looking on Ebay and everywhere on the internet... Classic industries, Impala bob´s ect..

Here it goes:
Vinyl top, has a moulding in the buttom line across the car from left to the right.. comes in 2 pieces. LH / RH lower moulding like.. it´s super hard to find!
Have been in contact with Dessert valley and all the " chup shop´s " and no luck so far!
If you could find this.. LMK!!

Btw, Joerg´s Mopar is AWESOME!

But your killing me with the 63´Split window man! Now thats a Classic!

My Impala is in the next month ( April ) magazine here in DK called " BOOSTED " :hurr: relesed in 3. April, i will post a link later for that.

Ya.. .i will continue the dreams.. and make it happend what so ever! :metal:
