They were really nice Loud amps, they were supposed to be only 3,600 wrms but they benches at 4,100 average between the two.

A guy I worked with had an Alpine type R15 running off of a Clif Design in his Dodge Ram RT and it FUKN POUNDED. I think he said he was pushin 1000watts into it.

sorry, but I dont believe those scores at all.. What kind of mic was used, and where was the mic placed?

It was a Audiocontrol RTA mic placed in the kick. I'd be 3bd down on a termlab but I stopped competing when they started using them. Heres a 153 pic from a night before the comp tuning party.

80% of Alma Gates scores were with AC mics, does that mean she wasn't loud?

Im not saying youre not loud, im saying, any score not used with a tl mic is no good 8) Proven time again the most accurate mic, and the hardest to make loud. I have seen ac mics be 5-6 db louder than on a tl. When someone tells me their score, if its not used by a tl, I dont even pay the score any attention. Anyone in the lanes will tell you the same thing. Its 08, dicth the ac mic

O I C, these scores are not current, I have not miced this van since 2006, back then RTA was all they used. Meca might have been using the TL but I was running local SLAP. My best on a TL was 151.1.

Don't discount scores based on the type of mic used though, back when competition was fun and innovation and good install/box building skills won shows the ac mic was fine and a lot of legends were mic'd by that standard. Maybe I'm just oldskool. 8)

Its all good. 8) If you get back into the spl scene, you need to check out the bad boy 18 I have.
