Post by wash with gasoline »

Hello, i need to get new earbuds for my ipod. I dont need anything amazing, just some that sounds decent for when im out doing yardwork.
Has anyone bought any cheap ones of ebay lately that dont sound like there is a cat dying inside your head when in use?
Im looking to spend around $10... some cheap ones are ok, i just dont know which anymore
Thanks

I am curious about this too. I have gone through three sets of earbuds in two months with my iPhone. All manufacturing defects, of course, because I am very gentle with my gear. I am tired of forking out $100 a set, so I just want a cheap in-ear buds that does the job on my bike.

I have had great results with Skullcandy in-ear headphones.
Cheap, sound great, and lifetime warranty.
Buy 2 pairs if you are rough on them, so you have a backup pair while waiting for replacements in the mail.

I have gone though quite a bit of ear buds. Right now I have some 80 dollar sony ear buds that say studio professional or something. They sound great and have good bass response.

However my friend swears for the iphone these are the shit. Plus they do look pretty cool and well built.

I will deff try these out in the near future.

Beyerdynamic has a 2 year warranty on the mmx100 so I am getting a new pair for free! Their customer service is top notch!

I am using a set of Ultimate Ears Triple-fi 10's http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateea ... i10pro.php and have a set of the Ultimate Ears 700's http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateea ... ars700.php and a set of the Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5vi's http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateea ... rfi5vi.php

they are all amazing... definitely not the "run of the mill" ear buds but your ears will love you for it.

I would trade the 5vi's ... since I dont use them anymore
