So I went up to Eugene yesterday to take my wife & mother to a festival & the kids to Chuck E Cheese. Well, while looking at cl I found an old Harman kardon citation 19 listed for $150. It stated that it didn't power on. I offered half price in which they agreed, got it home & tore into it. The power button was unresponsive when depressed, but other then that there doesn't seem to be any issues with it. I got a new switch ordered & on the way for 8 bucks. Whatta score!!

So I traded some older receivers for the recap on my Boston Acoustic T1030's. The guy recapped it & everything so it was a helluva deal!
I am not seeming to get enough power from the HK tho...the musics volumes seems to "dim" up & down in volume when I turn it up. I'm using an HK reciever which has a pre-out for an eternal amp & wired it as the manual shows so I'm guessing the amp may have a problem. What do you guys think? I know without seeingor hearing it for yourself it's a little hard to understand, but do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks!

I would check the caps they may need replacment its rated at 100 watts RMS x2 @ 8 ohlms. I have a citation 16 running mids and tweets on some kappa 8s and a mackie 1400 on the woffers and a citation 17 preamp that I recapped and it sounds pretty good love the old HK gear. Nice score good luck I read where some guys are recapping those amps.
