ZX450 "settings"

Post by eric67 »

Hello !
i'm trying to run my both zx450 as i want and i'm in trouble....
I've got 2 pairs of RCA coming from the HU, no filtering. Can I :
- use one pair for subs, using 2 bridged channels of the first zx450, <70Hz
- use the second for 2 channels of 6.5", >70hz <180hz, 2 channels of 3" >180hz <2.5khz, 2 channels for tweeters, >2.5khz?
is there any way?
it would be temporary, so i can be flexible (maybe with only one paire of RCA if it should be... i've read the handbook, but i'm a bit perplex, maybe rca in 1st zx front = tweeter, Xover, rear = mid, out -> in 2nd zx, front = kick, rear = sub?)
in some weak i will have a alpine pxa h700 to run all this actively like i want...
thanks for your help

if you look at the bottom of here:

http://www.phoenixgold.com/images/manua ... Manual.pdf

It explains the filtering that is done when using the rca outputs on the amp and how to do what you are explaining although it is a bit confusing. IT mentions you should use a lpl 44 to boost the signal a bit thought.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
