I would say that all this publicity cant be helping HD-DVD.

As for holographic stuff, that seems to be a long ways out. Closest you are going to come today is Samsungs HL-T5087S. The high refresh rate allows for offset perspectives to merge, giving a 3D image (the same way stereo photography works). Past that, you have the Helio display, which is basically just a projector. The one Im waiting for is still in development. AIST is bringing us one step closer to star wars.

Damn, you beat me to posting that. All I know is that with all this publicity, HD is all but done. From what I have noticed over the last few months, Toshiba was really pumping out the HD players. For them to consider dropping out really puts things into perspective.
