High priced DVD players are a waste now-a-days. With the next gen high definition players, I wouldn't spend more than $100 on a DVD, not to mention, the performance returns you get are negligible at best.

I would also suggest looking at a different DVD player. Due to HD/lueray, the cost of upcovert players has dropped significantly. To be honest, the difference in an upconverted signal and HD was not all that much. I was expecting much more out of it. Check out some pioneer elites, they can be picked up fairly cheap and are very good. Another thing you may want to look into is DVD-Audio. Trust me, the Nine inch Nails DVD-A is something that will blow you away.
