First lapping day of the year

Post by Me-262 »

Went out the with MR gang last Friday evening for some lapping at Shannonville. Complete mix of cars, BMW, Z06 Corvettes, Mustangs, Turbo G35, Turbo Miata..... Had a chance to try out my new R comp tires 255/40/17 on new 17x9 wheels. That's about as wide a setup as I'll be able to run. Sticks like glue.

Here's some video I shot

And someone else's video

Damn WMV won't open on Linux. Could only see the second video but your car only appeared for the blink of an eye. Otherwise nothing but eye-rolling mustang burnouts.

I'll try to remember to check your vid out when I get home... unless you wanna upload it to youtube...

THere's a little pull down tab under the video SELECT A FORMAT. You can watch the flash version as well. I used a Gopro Hero cam, audio was all wind so I replaced with my own Soundtrack.

Here's the direct link.

Nice, that did it. Looks like a pretty easy track... you probably had a blast!

One day I would like to get a track rat. 3500lb FWD Saab just wouldn't seem right...
