Boat wiring question...

Post by Eric D »

Does anyone know anything about the wiring on a Mercruiser boat outdrive, as far as the trim is concerned?

We put our boat in the water this weekend, and the place that worked on it jacked it up so much the trim does not even work right. It goes down to just the waterline, then stops. If you run it down further it runs itself back up. To get by for the weekend we stood on the outdrive, ran it down all the way to the bottom and then pulled the fuse out of the trim motor so it would not come back up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I did. I found a forum posting somewhere on the web where someone had issues with the wiring on their trim. I used the colors they discussed and the trim worked perfect.
