Possible change of Events for me

Post by SLICK »

With some stuff that has happened over the last week , I may be looking at getting rid of my Pristine F150 for something like the truck in the bottom pic . I am torn at this point , I love my truck , but to have it and not be able to drive it much ,

What does my PG family think ?

If you truck HAS to go.. then do it... otherwise... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

The dual cab doesn't look anywhere NEAR close to the part. However, if it's a must (say for work or whatever), then... get the duallie and pimp the bitch  hehehehe

The lightning is my pride and joy , there was only 648 built in 2004 in that color . its tastefully modded . puts down a lil over 400 hp at the rear wheels , and over 500 ft pds of torque ......

I would only look to upgrade to a Diesel anyway  and the performance dealer would " tasefully mod it to "

is it work and/or towing making you change?

lightnings are rad as hell....but i know more then a couple diesel crewcabs running 12 second 1/4's too
my ex-girlfriend said "its car audio or me"
i've had tougher choices at a soda machine...

(I can't believe I'm going to say this)

Go for it. If it's work related.. it'd be more practical, that's for sure.

And "tasteful mods" are nice :)

personally I would rather have a duramax but I am a GM guy, Go for the crew cab if you need it for work.
Check my buyer/seller ratings http://phoenixphorum.com/gridracer-vt4548.html

I have more PG stuff than one guy ever needs.

what he said  but if I had to choose I would keep the lightning and get the new one for work, although if choices must be made the extra cab =more room for extra audio gear on the bright side and is the grown up thing to do I guess :hmm:

Damn, that is a tough decision. I love Lightnings but that F250 also looks like a beast, and I am a HUUUUUUGE fan of diesel.

I personally would take the big truck. Don't get me wrong, your 150 is cool, but it is just not as useful or impressive as a bid truck.

I would keep your F-150.

If you have to get a new work related truck I would go GM or Dodge for the diesel. Dodge if you will be pulling hard. GM if you are a lighter tower and run empty a lot. The Dodge has the balls, but it is louder. GM has the sophistication and great Allison to back it up, nice for riding in town and medium light towing anywhere.

The Flowerstrokes seem to have a bunch of issues with the dual turbo setup and faulty injectors... If you do go Ford, get the extended engine warranty and make sure it includes everything in the engine compartment.

... Then come play at the truck stop: http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/
Really a bunch of diesel guys from all brands.
