Have a car? Is it broken? Want to make it faster? Got cool pictures?

Subaru luv...some of my old rides too.

Post by JayGold »

Phoring out some of my past rides.

Oldest was a 1995 Honda Civic EX which had the best sound system to date installed, unfortunately I only have Polaroids of it not scanned yet.

Moved onto a 1997 Honda Prelude with subtle bolt on mods, the most memorable were the 18" Advan Model 6 hollow spoke wheels which took me 1 year from down payment to have shipped from JDM land. This was back in 1998 when importing these items was not as easy as today.

Also had a 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS which I rebuilt after being oil starved and ended up with a spun rod bearing. The only salvageable engine component were the heads, everything else around it was fresh due to the 100,000+ miles already on it. Only down fall was it had been totaled out by the insurance company shortly after the pic was taken due to a drunk driver slamming into it in front of my place at 3am on a Sunday morning.

Sold the lude and went for Subaru which I still rock today. It's a 2002 WRX with essentially a TurboXS Stage 4 kit utilizing a rare Power Enterprise of Japan PE1818F turbocharger. All other supporting mods are on it along with a full tune good for low 12's and 150 mph pulls in 4th gear with the stock glass 5-speed.

Enjoy the pics!

I do, but they are of an older tune and with smaller injectors...not really too impressive.

Thanks, I currently rock a 2000 Impreza Sedan for daily driving duties, not much in the performance category though with this AT one. :(

Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

You should add paddle shifters like I did to my 4EAT 8) One of the best upgrades I did! I added a DCCD knob as well. It's good stuff :)

That's sick! I wish I had the money for an STI, especially one with 400hp! They are sweet cars. Maybe later on in life I will pick one up, but one can only hope...

Any info on how you modified this?

I wouldn't drop a teaser like that if I did already have a write up  It might not work with your car because your 4EAT is a phase II design and uses ODBII, which incorporates a bunch more stuff, but nonetheless...

That's my build thread. Has all the info I used and what not. If you have any questions just ask, I will help where I can!

Damn, that was pretty involved...I'll stick with the 4EAT as is and pick up another MT one of these days.

 That's usually what everyone does, but I like to be different, and I get bored :)

Now let's see a 6MT in your WRX and make that bad boy fly! :D

Subaru are so nice cars! But i personally prefer the look of the older models, seems more agressive to me... But still this is a crazy ride!
