Goodyear Eagle GT's on my GT

Post by Rold Gold »

Had to replace the rears on my Stang today and did so with a pair of Goodyear EAGLE GT 225/55/16. Haven't put but 25 miles on em' and I can tell I'll like them over the next 30K miles.... Read alotta mixed reviews but for $100 each installed I couldn't do any worse....

Anybody ever have these on anything......?????
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

I have had eagle gt's before and I liked them.
Check my buyer/seller ratings http://phoenixphorum.com/gridracer-vt4548.html

I have more PG stuff than one guy ever needs.

They still make those? Are they an updated tread pattern from the 80's or still the same? Those used to be a very popular performance tire back then.

Ok, I looked them up. Updated for sure. The current GT II looks more like the old original GT. Sorry for posting without looking first.

I had a set of gtII they were good tires wear and handle Bought them in 96 and they were on 3 cars 2 I drove daily then I put them on a car I had parked about 5 years ago that was sold at the end of last summer.(I told the guy to change them because of age but he is still driving on them)
I always kept the pressure in them high 44 psi (max rating on mine) front 40 psi rear but I had them on a caprice classic .

The tires still looked good with no cracks in them I had a set of bf goodrich on my truck started cracking after 4 years they were crap tires
