It is done! 70 Dodge Charger

Post by joerg »

Finally, after almost 4 years of working on my charger and throwing a few buck into it she is done. I had to work on a few knick and knacks here and there the last weeks but now everything is up´n running  Took a few pic´s after i cleaned her today.

I tried to do some sound deadening on the car with a layer of punch mats and the self sticking sound deadening foam. Didn´t work out that well!

So... you don't mind beeing stared at EVERYWHERE YOU GO do you?
Very nice ride Joerg, same comment like I posted about your special MS1K's comes to mind; for most people this will remain a dream to own....
BTW; that's the ONLY WAY you'll be able to park it! [it's a little bigger than today's standards hehe..].
You'll be able to go shopping and get supplies for one month ahead I guess.
Hope you'll be able to enjoy it yourself for that next 40 years; would make a cool "oldie"when you're one yourself as well.....

I did see that vid.......
And while it may be useless while in motion, some sort of system wouldn't hurt while sitting next to it with both doors, hood and trunk popped open at the car show....... Frosting.......

I too am on the jealous wagon.............

 sounds GREAT Joerg, but I'm happy your not my neighbour coming home late at night
That thing revs fast! Is it normal for this type of engine to rev at more than 1.000rpm when cold? The Mercs I work on [with mechanical injection] rev at 900 tops when cold, and idle at 800-850 when warm.
Congrats with this AWESOME machine man.

Hey Joerg; my wife brought something home from work sometime ago.
By now there can only be one person it belongs to....YOU!
Expect this as a present in the mail; it's to celebrate with you this result of so much work and efford. :hurr:
[btw; she wants to be taken for a ride in "the monster"when we ever come to Austria.... ].
Wil and Nico.

I found a place to store my charger at, that is pretty close to my home (5min walk) But the best thing is the asphalt space which is private property where i can drive the car without license tags! Took a few videos today! 8) 8)
