Just for shits and giggles. My dad is going on a trip to the US in his 1949 restored Chevy pickup with matching trailer to pickup new custom tonou covers for both the truck and trailer.
You can imagine how noisy of a drive that would be. My solution for him was to add a PG QX500.5 and a sub under the seat. I also built some kick panel pods to hold a set of alpine 6" components. Sound pretty decent. He's realy happy with it.

I have a nice Roadster 66 waiting for me to finish/start on my 1950 5-window... The shape of these trucks are nice!

how long of a drive it is? I carpooled for a couple of years with a guy that had a 50's model 5 window. Never seen anyone work so hard to drive a car. Keeping it between the painted lines meant he would have to turn the wheel 1/2 turn in either direction to make adjustments to keep it on a straight road. Every once in a while we would hit a bump big enough the hood latch would release and he would have to pull over and push it down. It was completely stock mechanically but the body was painted lime green and the interior matched.

I'm all about modding, so I have a late model 6 liter and a mustang 2 front suspension collecting dust. More money and more time hopefully soon, hehehe...

I think my dad said its about an 8hr drive there. Going to callaspel. His truck is noisy inside from the road but handles and drives great. It has a 400 small block engine.
