the ease of install is what is really getting me on the kit. No need to scrape my knuckles and hope everything is tight in the engine bay.

I installed my test pipes( cat delets) and that was a total bitch.

its not released but the dyno sheet, I posted is standard for ever test car they have. I expect about 370 HP from 245 HP.

Basically, the kit includes:

Garrett Turbo
TiAL Wastegate
K&N Air filter and Outerwears DryCharger
Turbo Oiling System
HPC coated intake tubing
HPC coating exhaust tubing
Electrical harness
Silicone connectors, clamps and fittings
Return oil cap
Turbo XS Utec (best 350z stand alone)
Fuel injectors
1 step colder spark plugs

The stock fuel system is hard to manipulate and control accurately by simply reflashing the ecu. The fuel regulator is in the tank and the fuel system is return-less.

The stand alone is safer by far. To reflash the ecu, I would need to go to a shop which does that. Of which, only a hand full exsist. None of which are in Texas.

Why would you not run a stand alone? Or are you just asking?
In the mid 90's, my Friend had N20 is his 5.0 Mustang and after 2 years or so it cost him in refills plus purchase price what a supercharger would have cost.
Thats what I what I kept thinking.

I picked up a AEM UEGO Wideband gauge

I'm looking for a resonably priced boost and oil temp gauge now. I am not looking to data log anything as the UTEC(stand alone) will do all of that stuff if I want it to

I am boosted! Yay. Pretty cool feeling the boost kick in and the car take off. The scary part is when the car does not stop pulling faster and faster through redline.

Boost comes on nicely around 3500ish. I haven't installed my boost controller so I am just on the waste gate spring right now. I should have that and running by this week. Once I get that in and the AFRs stay in the 10 - 11 range, I will dyno it again.

I raced a camero SS tonight from a roll. I gained on him from behind before I even hit boost. So, I have some grunt with just 4.5 pounds of boost. 8) I think my blow off valve scared him.

Nice.. Makes me want to hurry and get more done to my car. Stock engine, new exhaust, and engine chip for now 300+lbs of torque... I will only race cars like yours from 50mph or higher for now, since my car is heavy, but that will change once the cam/ new heads, and later supercharger goes in.. She is a beast on the highway though. Not bad from a dead stop aswell. Nice car.. zs are nice

Any scrapes on your pipes yet?

I think with the turbo mounted back there my nuts would go up into my chest every time I saw a bump in the road.

I don't know much about Fords but I know there is a large aftermarket for all of their engines. If possible I would look at what engines drop right in and mate up to the transmission. Find a junker with the same engine, build it with forged rods and things...put a super charger and have the sweetest sleeper car ever made.

Anyway cool idea, keep modding.

The turbo is actually sitting up higher than the stock muffler. I would have much much bigger problems if something ripped that off.

Now the charge air pipe, that is a totally different story all together. I have a beta test kit right now. They didn't run the charge air pipe up the middle of the car next to the drive shaft so the charge air pipe is about 3 inches off the ground. I took the car to get some tips welded on and the exhaust shop totally scraped up the charge air pipe.

If you look at bernoulli's equation which describes flow processes(well energy conservation as well). The losses to pipe length is really negligable. The biggest isssue I see is heat loss between the engine and the turbine. My solution for that is to heat wrap the midpipe back to the turbine and insulate the turbine. This should help with spool up but I am hitting boost so early it doesn't really matter.

I didn't make it to the dyno because I haven't gotten the boost controller sorted out yet. My piggy back controls my maps and will now control my boost. Its the same system which a lot of WRX guys use. (TurboXS) Once I get that settled out, I have to take the car to Houston to get it tuned. Anyway, with the funeral and everything that has happened, I just haven't had a chance to take the car down there.

Finally had my car dyno tuned:

370 hp at 8.2 psi
I'll post the dyno sheet if anyone cares.

hmmm this makes me wonder if they could put this on a RX8. i LOVE those cars but because of the heat under the hood fi has never been a reliable option (the added heat from a turbo is detrimental, plus there is almost NO room)

oooh you got me wondering all kinds of crazy stuff know.

370 is fucking sweet.

Not a bad idea. They make universal kits. I would just steal an ems and upgrade the fuel system and start boosting....until the apex seals blow.

I am happy with 370. My car is basically stock other than the turbo kit so this isn't bad. The tune isn't horribly agressive either.

It wasnt hooked up like yours ashmo, but I raced a g35 coupe/ 350 z last night, and it was dead even when we raced from a fast roll, and I even started edging it. The g35 has more horse power, less torque, but seeing as I had the bigger motor 4.6 v8, that helped me out a bit. Everyone rags on the vics for being larger cars, but what people dont know is that most of these newer cars these days are very heavy. Once you have a big motor, weight does not matter much anymore. To say the least, I am going to get my engine tuned, and am going to do a 100 shot 8) Talking with many vic owners, many people are running them as daily drivers with 150 shots, and have been doing it on the same motor for years.. Will update later
