03 350z- STS turbocharged...with stuff

Post by Ahsmo »

I am tired of Mackenzie using my NAAAWS thread so here is my car alone. I feel like putting any more crap in it would be overkill at this point, so I am going to call it done.

As promised, pictures of the new wheel/tire setup.

255/35/19 fronts
295/30/19 rears

Volk TE37 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 +22 all around

They are going for under 4000 now. The 350z kit includes a quazi standalone which really made the kit worth it for me. I did not have to jack around with buying my EMS from some other company. Now if I have problems with anything involving the turbo kit I only have one company to call. As I have found in the car modding world, its nobody's fault.

Thanks stipud. I have two 19x9.5 +29 rims that I will let go for cheap ;) All you need is the other two haha.

Maybe. :D But nobody runs when they see my car coming down the road.

9.5" eh? I'll let you know when I get my widebody kit installed

I think the biggest I would reasonably want to drive on is 18x8 5x110 +35.

That is flippin' nice. There are a couple of turbo G35's in town that put down quite the power. I'm jealous that you can run such wide tires, I'm running 255's at the track but would love 295's all around if they would fit.

Gotta love those Volks !

Thanks Me-262. With the 295s in the rear, I had to roll my fenders. I love having traction now. :P

I'll get some video this weekend when my camera holder and I are reunited.

These Vandersteen tires are awesome. They are extremely cheap and they grip the road better than my Toyos. I got the 255s and 295s for 830 shipped to my door.

Thank GOD it's not a neon............ O:)

No matter how much work they do to it, I just can't see past the fact that it's a neon. I've even driven an SRT4 and still don't like 'em. It was fast as hell too.

Now the 350Z is a whole other story. A guy here in P-town has one with a RB26DETT stuffed in it.   I saw the dyno sheet with a "sport" map and it was putting down 425hp and 375tq. Dood said it would put down close to 500 on race fuel and the extreme map.
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

you would not be saying that if you had seen ahsmo's neon before he got the 350Z. haha. all I can say is that it will go down in history.

I have a small place in my heart for neons. I sat in mine for over 100,000 miles of driving back and forth to school every god damn day. Two hours a day, everyday.

I have not seen that swap. Maybe I have. I think there was one in a magazine not too long ago. I like the RB26 but damn you gotta boost the hell out of it to get power. Regardless, I am impressed.

Now, what is coming down the road is LSx swaps. There is a guy near where I go to school in New York who has a 350z with a LS3 in it. The VQ35 has a long way to go before it can handle the power an LSx can put down safely and everday.

275 with slippage huh? I dont think you need to go as far as rolling the fenders. What kind of tires are you running?
