Tuning my engine...

Well; I told the thruth!
I'm preparing the spare- engine of my moped that brings me to work every day.
I sold this moped [new] to my dad in 1994, in those days I worked in a shop which sold/ repaired mopeds and motorcycles of Yamaha, BMW, Suzuki, Honda, and Harley.
Now this oldie is my daily driver; 49cc, 2-stroke forced cooling..... 6,8HP [say WOW]  [2,4 allowed].
Nowadays it's like new again, totally restored 4 years ago. [picture shows pre-restored state].
As for the spare engine; it was a completely worn out, corroded and abused one, which I bought cheap....I couldn't just only revise it...my old profession came to life again!
I narrowed the crankcase, filled the balancing holes in the cranckshaft, modified the timing in the cilinder, raised compression, flowed the complete intake section, advanced the timing, and mofified the exhaust and pulley's.
Nobody ever suspects me because I look like [and AM ] an oldtimer on an old moped. :-$ , but when a"youngtimer" wants to pass me with his flashy HIP LC racy scooter, sometimes they just see my rear-ligh dissappear in the distance
I'm past the age that I'm worried about beeing HIP, or must own the latest trend, so this is my faithfull "workhorse".
If you know Holland, the fuelprices, and how crowded the roads are here where I live, you might consider making a fool of yourself as well, and also drive one of these oldies.....
Oh, and I like old amps as well.

I live in Tacoma Wa and I am starting to see Vespa's cruising around just about every other day. There's about 5 to 7 of them parked around my work every day. I never saw those things a year and half ago!

Well... I installed the MS1000 on the luggage-carrier, mid/highs in the legshield, sub in the topcase,...but my 4Ah battery didn't last for more than 30 sec.  ...so I enjoy my amps at home.
