I out the elite tweets in the A pillars, and found grey matching cloth for them, im keeping the tis for highs/mids, and then took my second rsd1200.1 out( its in my work truck now), - i cant get a h/o alternator without spending mega bux( the factory alt is a bosch 150 amp h/o( they claim), so thats why its best to run the rsd 1200.1 vs my ti1200.1-

How hard do the subs hits on the 600.2? I'm thinking about running two RSdC from my M100 in 2ohms stereo.

Edit: Errrrrr, I just noticed you have a 1200.1 for the RSdC's, I guess I can't use that to gauge how hard they'll hit off my M100.

Looks nice.

? you have a four-pot? woah!
nicely done, like the Metal logo and that it's pretty damn stealthy :)

À quick ebay implies that your alt is as big as the standard A4 ones get. Can you not get it rewound?

im sure theyll be nice, i have asecond rsd1200.1 in my work truck , running off of 2 diamond audio d6 dual 4ohms, unlike the audi where the rsdc are dual 2ohms=the 1200.1=12-1400, i sometimes think they hit just as hard at the 1200.1 rated 700 rms at 4ohms as they do at the 1200, however the gmc sierra worktruck is a standard cab, way less traveling room, i say go for it, i luv the rsdc

brett_kivi- in response to ur ?, everytime i goto an auto-electric shop they are loke NO WAY!!! but, a memeber on here posted that on his gm, you are able to splice(add) a diode into a line before the alternator and it will increase your alts voltage upto .5 volts- ive called the company that suggests and have never received a response back- i asked gkitching b/c i know he has alot of knowledge, as do alot of other memebers here, and he said hed try it for shits/giggles, but with the audi im a little hesitant, i usually read between 13.3-13.9( used to read 14.2 with my gel batteries new, my alternator may be on its way out( and the oem is 525, so ill kill it , then replace it-
stipud- i kill termites for a living, and am usually done by2-3oclock, so it gives me alot of time onmy hands before the wife and daughter make it home-( its GReAT therapy to work on my cars :D

i made mdf rings, but once i put the elites(6.5s) in, they slid pefrectly in! Also, I dynameted the back of them off , and sealed the area with caulk, just to ensure no moisture; best piece of advice i could give someone on an audi install, is be PREPARED! Even the interior carpet , with 2inch foam underneath, was placed very secure, as to never be messed with- and there was this yellow glue, ull get on ur hands, that takes about 2 weeks to go away; also, consider drilling small holes in the doors, the audi plastic cover for wires going in/out of doors, leaves no room for 16gauge even-just my piece of advice

i did mine the hardcore way, i used a soldering iron to melt a big hole in both ends of the connector, had to be careful not to melt the "occupied" connectors!!

how did you run the main power cable through the firewall? i found a conveniant rubber bung between the battery and pollen filter, this feeds through behind the govebox, main fuse holder sits in front of pollen filter under that black cover, it's all consealed for a factory look 8) that's as far as i've gone but so far things have gone better than i expected

i'll start my own build thread when i get a little further on so as not to spam your thread here..

its cool, u can keep it here, actually , on mine, on the drivers side, when u remove the battery cover and plastic piece thats the width of the car, under the brake booster, driveside, i found a plug that was just big enuff, once removed to run the 1/0 gauge all the way down the left side to my gel battery in rear, but use what works for you 8)
