I was playing with one of those on the freeway this weekend.......... Looks like a fun car to drive............

Are they giving ya much on the trade-in?

Mazdaspeed 6
2.3 liter turbo 4 banger with 275hp... same displacement and HP as me incidentally
But it has AWD... I do not

Definitely been keeping my eye on one of these for a long time now.

Gee Brian, who'da thunk you'd be buying a FORD

psh, the only thing ford about that is the wheels!

also the car ONLY comes in a 6 speed manual, the way it should be.

the clutch is stiff....its more like a on/off button. when it grabs, you go. its going to take a while to learn to drive it without giving my passangers whiplash.

oddly enough i have been driving slower then normal. i feels more like a luxury cruiser then a manic sports car.

its got some weight on the saab also.

also the car came with a corksport intake, BOV and boost gauge.

i was at work till 11 last night so no pics yet

so i have been driving this beast for a week...
(YEAH, im lazy with pics!)

its a damn nice car. definetly more of a crusier with sport tendency then a manic sports car (like sti or evo) but its quite a big car so i expected that

still on the fence about keeping it. i picked it up quite a bit back of book so i have this voice in my head that tells me to turn it around for a quick grand and use that for the clutch in my bmw....

if i do keep it. i dont think i will go apeshit on the custom install agian

right now im thinking of moving my system from the bmw directly over.

running the x200.2 to 6" elites in the front, and 600.1 for subs

the trunk has a pretty level trunk roof. so i would liklt build a rack to hold the two amps facing down on the ceiling.

then instead of the 12, movie over to a pair of rsdc10d4's so they would fit under that rack

also, i discovered that my car DOES have folding seats!

the manual says the dont....because mazda braced the area behind the seats on the mazdaspeed....which is true.

but they just removed the button for the latch release....so all i have to do is tie a cord to the latch and they will fold as normal.

i still will have to work around the brace, but its a start!

alternatively i might go even lazier and just do rsd300.4 to rsd6.5's all around and rsd600.1 to rsd10's...

the long journey of the bmw install has made me lazy!

if i go rsd...i could get away with a single 4awg and not have to run 1/0...which looks like a pain in this car...

yeah, I forgot they run a tmic on those. I like the look of the new ms3 with the hoodscoop though. I guess after subaru copied the look of the ENTIRE ms3 for the new wrx.... mazda can go ahead and borrow the scoop :P

Really, a topmount? Without a scoop? Didn't know they did that...

If there's room, consider changing to a FMIC. We did that on my friend's Celica Alltrac 3S-GTE and noticed a substantial improvement... and that's WITH a hood scoop. Not to mention it made working on the car a hell of a lot easier!

they DO make them and that is my first upgrade i would do.

beyond that, they then make a new duct that goes where the tmic used to be and diets air over the turbo
