A few pics from this weekend's road trip.

Post by mr tibbs »

The wife and I took a little road trip this weekend for our anniversary. First we went off-roading with the FJ club and then it was on to Elko, Nevada. From there we cut down to Ely, Nevada and then came home. All in all we drove damn near 800 miles. It was a blast! Here are a few pics from the off-roading.

This is one of the first looks we got at the Great Salt Lake. Last year I don't remember being able to see any water at all!

Just a quick terrain pic

One of the few places we had to actually use 4wd. All of the rain run off had made quite a rut in the road.

Image
We made the stop for lunch in an old ghost town of Terrace. I would venture to say that at this point there are no services for at least 50 miles in any direction. This is a pic looking west from Terrace.

Image
This is looking East from Terrace. Notice all of the vegetation, the last two years this was all bare. I can't believe how green it is!!

The cactus are in blossom!

These were all shot in Utah, I didn't take any pics in Nevada for some reason. It was a great time though, I'm really liking the Elko area!

You and me both Tom.

Dude, you've gotta quit teasing us/ME with all of these pics. Makes me jealous of where you live.

Nice shots BTW.
