first outing with new camera...

Post by bretti_kivi »

We've been doing a lot of video with work recently. So, after using a 7d purely for moving pics and a couple of office shots, I went out the other day with the 7d from behind my desk. It has a 17-55/2.8 on the front. The lens isn't too shabby and I think I managed to work the AF out... these are all from within 500m of the office.

I have to say the Sony a230 was just what the wife and I were looking for....... I know it's an entry level unit but we've had lots of fun with it and taken some really kool pic's. But I'd like to take some nighttime photos and haven't quite figured it out yet. From what I was reading, there is a better lense for night pix........

I'll have to post acouple tonight of our family trip this last summer.........

Got the tripod..........Not a great one but it's not bad.
The flash....... That is something I've been looking into...... Not ready to drop $300 quite yet.....

I've been hesitating on the flash as well but it makes such an enormous difference when you can have some degree of control over lighting. Bouncing the flash for a softer light makes such a difference indoors when lighting isn't great.
