Post by ttocs »

just wondered if you thought about capitolizing on the true definition of the pheonix rising from the ashes with this rebirth? It is an interesting synanym for what happend to PG and what it should be with the exception of the constalation.

Yup, this is exactly what I suggested. It's time to cast off tuner names like Xenon, Octane, etc. and move on with something a little more mature. That is why I like the name Ash for the revival amplifier. Not only does it give you a nerdy Phoenix lore related name, it could also define the appearance of the amp.

Initially when I read "Ash" I thought wow that rocks. But the more I think of it, the more I tie to "your ash amp just went up in smoke".

I agree...................
There has to be some reference..............like an amp coming up through a pile of ashes...................

That would be cool though in a way.... an amp with an ash flake throughout the body of it. Would give it a cool look. Almost like putting flames on a car became famous. Why not ash flake throughout the amp... Dunno

Amp names

Post by Eric D »

Since it was just Halloween...

A line of amps called “Buried Alive” which includes such models as “Six Feet Under” (Big SPL amp), “The Apparition” (2-channel amp with simple clean design), and “Netherworld” (4-channel amp with extensive onboard signal processing.

I always thought the finish used on the old Earthquake 40uhc amp would be the perfect finish for an 'ash' series.

Since I thought the Phoenix was from ancient Egyptian times, then it would most appropriate to use names of god's or famous figures from that time. :?: :?: :?: :?:

They are using some, but most are rotating lines and cheap quality as it is any way.

What about cities, (and yes I know Memphis is already a brand name) ?

But then again, some of them may just be to hard to pronounce: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cities_of_Ancient_Egypt

My idea:

"The Crater"
Using names of Craters from around the world...?

Just an idea I came up with some time ago- granted nothing to do with gods/phoenix (as other(s) have mentioned above) - except that one is in Arizona (where city of phoenix is)- maybe make that one the mother ship of the amps???

worldwide craters name/locations:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_im ... s_on_Earth

USA/Canada craters name/locations:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_im ... al_America

kinda the neat idea about this is, is that it is a global approach as there would be names/locations/craters from all over the world that would/could be reconginized by/from anyone around the world - in todays global market (?) right?-
AND craters really leave a "mark" or "impression" and that could be the idea behind it too?!??!

blaupunkt has used city names for years with there cd players worked for them? Pg should make a line 7 "wonders of the world" 7 cool ms/zpa type amp that are just great and maybe make the final of the 7 a LE amp
you could include the 10k amp some other class d, than a couple 4 channel
and the final 4-5-6 channel le amp

Well no i was thinking more along the lines of using the names of the "Craters", not the city where they are located...

look at the link(s) I provided. The names of the craters are (in most, if not all, cases) are different than the city/town they are located.

For example:
Have a line called The Crater" or whatever-
And if there are 4 or 5 different amps in that line- name them the 4th or 5th largest craters on the planet

just an idea

all sound pretty ghey so far..

no stupid flaming names are needed.

you have so much stupid shit out there, I would hope that the line would promote class.

The audison line of amps so far, besides being the best amps i have dealt with since the original MS line from PG, have simplicity... no freaking stupid arse names...

also seeing that there are 4 mono amps, think I read that in another post, I am sure that it is all cookie cutter stuff anyways...

by the way who is engineering these new amps?

in English also!

we all know that I, or anyone else here can make a competing brand of amps that are already produced in china or Korea..
