that post was really nothing more then a dare just to help them along. I would love to see another killer sub with PG's name on it.

I actually use to be a big optimist but after the last 5-6yrs I have had my glass is now half empty......

Bring on some 18s with XBL2 motor technology, insane Xmax, 3-4" VC, and a cone light enough for SQ. I will be all over it!

what does a light cone have to do with SQ? I would be more worried about a strong and capable motor and soft parts way before a cone

18's arent gonna be a big seller, I say stick with what will sell, and that 10's and 12's

I say make a modular system and make large drivers. Make a 12-18 if you're making a statement driver there is no reason to limit it to two sizes. Anymore there are so many drivers out there you have to set yourself apart from the crowd. Honestly, I believe we are well past the golden age of car audio and now its more about niche markets. I don't see the kids beating down the block hardly at all anymore. Its more us older guys that want to be able to have an awesome sounding setup that you can drop the knob on occasionally.

Dang! I cannot remember the last time I got my windows rattled except for doing it myself but then that really doesn't count because I cannot hear the windows on the house rattling while I'm in my car. Dang.

i would like to see a beast big huge magnet tons of xmax and can handle the power of 2500-5000watts but still sound good
It would be nice to see the biggest badest pg sub come out of the new Aamp buying the company
I just bought a Orion 10" Hcca 10.4 v2 nib as my tantrum 1200.1 is to much for the other pg single 10"sub
I have to say the in the right box sounds allot like the 12" ti elite but its a mean 10"
most of my gear is gone :liar:

The Maelstrom is NICE! I almost bought one myself. But found some Brahmas in time. You can find some Ascendant Audio motors as well to build up.

... Granted if you are going to go Maelstrom go Cadillac and get the 21" :)

Depending on what forum you are on will depend on how popular 12"+ subs will be... There is no replacement for displacement! You need to move air by excursion or cone diameter.

Thats kinda funny since I traded two elites for four 3hp 15's built by one of TC's engineers. Apparently he saw something in them :P I pretty much run all TC sounds products most of which were "prototypes" that I had made to my needs.

I would prefer a split coil or stout underhung to an XBL2.
