600w RMS R2

Post by sploosh369 »

Ive heard of some 600w R2s being tested by the general public and possibly seen a set. Anyone know anything about this?

ok so heres the story. My buddy went and got these the other day at a local dealer and they said that they were for testing and were not in production yet. The fronts look like normal R2s to me but he said that the backs look more like the Ti's and had a sticker that said 600rms. I'm just owndering if theres any truth to this. He says hes been pushing about 900w into them for a couple weeks now with no problem. Image

I have never been afraid to over power a sub, I would rather over power it(with in reason) then underpower it.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

R2's are 400 watts RMS and 800 watts Peak, the backplate sticker also notes this. They are built tough and will take plenty of abuse and power.

Important! R2's SLAM in vented boxes. In the pic, it looks like a sealed box, a VENTED box will make a huge difference in output.
