Yes, Ti1600.5 comes in the black bag, etc. Its an old school surfboard amp.

There are a few messages mixed between SD and Ti amps. ;)

Is the Ti1600.5 available yet? I don't have any dealers close to me to talk with and won't be able to afford this for a little while, but I'm curious on its release status nonetheless.

ok guys. so we finally got this thing running a couple of weeks ago in a test car and all i can say is WOW! i could not even imagine the output of this little creature. i mean its really small for what it can do.

We also tested on bench and was quite impressed how it sounded. But it was way different installed in the car. To be honest we were not expecting much. Anyway, details below:

Car: Subaru 2.5XT Forester
Headunit: Pioneer P99RS
Front Seps: Focal KRX3 (3-way system)
Subwoofer: RE Audio SL10D4

The SD800.5 was configured to power the whole system replacing two US Amps AX series amplifiers. Front channels are driving the tweeter and midrange with passive crossover. Rear channels are driving the midbass. Sub channel driving the sub of course.

Wow, that's what everybody says on this small wonder amp. Power is impressive but sound quality was equally impressive as well. Definitely does not sound like a class D amp. We are so impressed with this that we are going to enter the car in an SQ competition on the 7th just to see if it can hang with the big boys.

Oh yeah, here's a picture:

Here are a couple of pictures I took today with the SD800.5 amplifier in the Subaru. Sorry for the mess.

The RE Audio subwoofer was removed today to make way for the PG SL10D4:

I hope to finish this up soon and will post finished pics in the Install area.

So far the SD800.5 is pushing some serious power to the SL10D4. But the subwoofer needs a bit more break-in. It sounds too tight for now and needs to loosen up some more. I am however impressed with the SQ of this combo. More reviews in the future.

I was looking at the sd800.5's manual on the PG site and it says theres a remote input for sub control but the LPL44 will not control this feature. Does Phoenix Gold plan on coming out with a remote (and RMD for other amps) that will work?

The manual actually states that the remote sub level remote is included with the 600.1 and 800.5. I imagine it is just a different design or pinout than the LPL44.

I really like the sd 800.5
i am going to use two of the small class d 5 channel amps in my GTO and this one is on my short list.
i wish it had a frequency multiplier on one of the crossovers but i can probably live without it.

amazing how similar all of the class d amps look that are out now.
the polk, memphis, ppi, phoenix gold and even the hertz are all so similar.
the kappa 5 and the arc xdi are on my list as well.
i like the clear plexi top on the PG, would look killer with a few led's in there....
