TI2500.1 power specs?

Post by Mackenzie »

Has anyone had the ti2500.1 benched? I got my eye on one, but it appears its only 1600rms. Can someone shed some light on this?

I have one forsale but unfortunately I never benched it. I would doubt that it is overrated by listening to it though. I would venture they do at least rated but yes the 2500 is the dynamic rating not rms.

I was looking at yours specifically, but 1600 watts just simply falls short for my needs unfortunately. Morgan can you confiirm? Why call it the 2500.1 if its 1600 watts?

That's disappointing... So dynamic must be the new peak power rating? What a waste! Come on pg, That's crap! Just call it the 1600.1 and be done with it. So much for that idea...

the elite amps are under rated if ya want a bad-ass amp, strapable too if yer balls are big enough. And lets not forget "the one" for spl use. They have a line for everyone although their entry level is more on par with other middle-of-the-road quality brands, some other high-end.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

So one can expect 2500+ running at 1 ohm clipped a bit? If thats the case, I would be okay with it, but I just done see it..

The elite amps are just simply to much. I remember being quoted something north of 1500 for the elite 1. Its just not a practical price for a sub amp, and the power it puts out. So while they may have something for everyone, the pricing isnt there...

Im just going to have to go with another brand as far as sub amps are concerned.. I miss the old days of the tantrum 1200.1 that did 1500rms.. To bad about the class t chips though.
