Android or Apple tablet then. They are already making amps that run off of bluetooth with an android app. Perhaps that would be the better way to go.

Hmm........They could just make the remote like everyone else, a mini tablet almost with the software preinstalled. You could still allow the HU to control everything, and have the remote connect to the processor wirelessly via bluetooth, so it could be stowed in a console or glove box when not tuning. That way it doesn't have to be installed. You'd just have to remember to charge it would be the only thing, but if it came with a cigarette lighter charger that would be a very minor issue.

That would still do what I want, but address the issue of keeping the software updated I think. Would that work better ttocs?

Pc connectivity would be ok,but I would prefer android via usb and not bluetooth. Id buy one of these in a heartbeat in either case. Even though it would blow my budget to hell!

I'd settle for an add on to the Elite.65's that comes with a 3" soft dome and 3 way crossover.

The 6.5" woofers that come with the Elite components will surprise you on midbass frequencies.

I know, I'm good mates with the boys at stinger Australia & one of them has the elite 6.5's in his lexus. Sound great.

But I have custom door build outs that currently house a morel elate 9" midbass..

I was dreaming for a straight swap out almost. ;)

I'm looking for a product that I want, and I am posting it here because I am almost positive it doesn't exist.

What I want is a system status indicator that displays the system voltage like the RMD voltage gauge, but accepts the cabling from four or more amps, and would have a light or something for each amp, displaying the clipping status. I know they have the level knobs that do this for a single amp, but I want one unit for all the amps in the system, without the adjustment knob.

If you wanted to get fancy with a 4x4 LED screen it could display current draw and output power too, but that would be gravy.

Kirghiz wrote:I have a bunch of things I would like to see Phoenix Gold make in the future, and I thought it would make a fun thread for the forum. I'm sure you all have some product ideas as well. I'll start.

Product: Elite.3 3 channel Amplifier (2x200watts@4 ohm/2x300 watts at 2 ohm, 1x700 watts at 2 ohm, 1 x 1100 watts at 1 ohm)
Why: It offers a high power stereo option for installs that only utilize a front stage and no rear fill, and a capable sub channel for pickup trucks!

An incredibly useful point of this amp would be the ability to pair it with an Elite.4, using the Elite.4 to power the midrange drivers, and the Elite.3 to power a pair of midbass speakers and subs. You could also pair it with an Elite.5 doing the same thing as the Elite.4, but you would have two identical 700 or 1100 watt sub channels to drive a moderate SPL system, which would include the ability to drive a pair of the dual 2 ohm SUBWOOFERS!!! If you wanted to drive a pair of 2ohm SUBWOOFERS but didn't want the bass to overpower the highs like it probably would with just an Elite.1 and Elite.4, this would be a good option to do that with. The Elite.3 would also have phase and timing adjustments on the stereo channels to bring those midbass drivers in line with everything else, and crossover options that would allow you to set up a 3 way front stage with the other amp.

I would love a ELITE.3 right freaking now!!!! Why can't we bridge two of the channels on a ELITE.4?? I am in the process of designing/procuring a 4-way active SQ high-end system for my 2011 F150 SCREW ECOBOOST and having to purchase 3 Phoenix Gold ELITE's to achieve my goal just might push me away from these simply amazing amplifiers, which is to be honest VERY disheartening......

Way it stands right now, this is what I would have to buy and loose the "semi-stealth" install I had in my head:

ELITE.4 - Tweeter / Midrange
ELITE.2 - Midbass
ELITE.2 - Subwoofer

That adds a LOT of coin to my system which is unnecessary IMHO!!!!

What about two Elite.5's? If I had it to do over in my truck it's what I would have probably done.

I would consider two of the ti21600.5 amps. I have been trying this amp out, and it has power to spare.

I would also like to see a multi lpl/rmd with a bass cube remote, all in one case so it looks like a nice singe din unit. I don't think it would be to hard to make. And I bet they would sell a shit pile of them. Considering all the cubes out there with no remotes.

Since we're in the suggestions thread, why not an limited edition amp that is a pair of Ti21600.5's in one case? 8 channels at 125 watts rms at 4 Ohm and two channels at 800 rms at two ohm in a 14.5" x 14.5" x 2.5" case would be utterly ridiculous. Highpass, lowpass, and bandpass crossovers on all full range channels. Forget "The One", which has a very limited number of people that would use it. This amp would appeal to damn near everyone.

Good luck and glad to see that y'all are dedicated to bringing back the PG name!

I'm now considering moving onto Arc Audio, their 4-channel amps are bridgeable!

What would make you think the Elite.4 isn't bridgeable?

http://www.phoenixgold.com/images/manua ... hSheet.pdf

Honestly though, if I was just doing a 3 way front stage and not doing any rear fill, I would just use a single Elite.4 and run the two sets of mids and tweets off the front channels at 2 ohm and run the midbass off the rear channels at 4 ohm. The amp actually makes about 180 watts rms at 4 ohm, and that is more than enough power to make your midbass drivers scream. Two ohm power from this amp is very clean sounding, my front stage is at 2 ohm, and it sounds amazing. With the crossover point on your midranges set in the 200-250 hz range, I very seriously doubt you'd ever even use the full 250 watts (really it's closer to 300 than 250) since the lower frequencies require more power. My Elite.4 has no problem driving 3 sets of Elite components (making just under 1000 watts rms to do it), and keeps up with my pair of Elite 12's and the 4000+ watts coming from the Elite.1 that feeds them.

Besides, if you are wanting to run the amp as a 3 channel and run your midbass drivers mono it's going to sound HORRIBLE. Anything above 80 hz has to be in stereo. With your plan of running the subs off an Elite.2 and not an Elite.1, a single Elite.4 running a 3 way front stage will be MORE than plenty of power to do what you're wanting, even without bridging.

Long shot for sure, but gold plated boards and connectors would be sweet. Put the Gold back in Phoenix Gold. Pretty sure its been mentioned already. I know its not cost efficient but come on.

I'd pay high money for a re-release of the M100 exactly as it was - if it was hand made in USA. The only difference being upgraded modern internal parts here and there where appropriate, plus a silk screened date or serial number on the top lid to distinguish it from the originals. Never going to happen!

I also want a decent SQ head unit which does a proper job with the ipod. Rather like how I can extract lossless files using a home dock like the Arcam DrDock, then use an external DAC of my choice, then finally that goes into a high quality analogue pre amp. I want all this in a single din HU with minimal buttons. Never going to happen!

I would like to see some 18"s with some 4" coils. A sub built to partner up with "The One" .

So you want Phoenix Gold to make DD Z's? Why not?

I was actually thinking the other day that I would like a pair of DD Z 12's so I could put an Elite.1 on each one of them. A pair of 12's is all I have space for, so the biggest, baddest 12's is what I need. How much are the DD Z's anyway? My nearest DD dealer is 3.5 hours away.

In the spirit of re-using all the old brands, call them "Team Gold" and have them come in 12's, 15's and 18's, and take 4,000 watts rms, with an 80 mm peak to peak. That would make them competitive with all of the best SPL subs that are out there. It sounds half way nuts, but I would be first in line to get some, and I would run a pair of the 12's off of a pair of Elite.1's......Seriously.

In my case I would like to run 2 18"s and having phoenix gold 18's would be sweet.
But as it is ,I think, i would have to run like 6 12"s if i went with PG sub's.

6 12's would in all likelihood be louder though, if that's what you're going for, and they'd do it in the same enclosure space as a pair of 18's more or less. I'd split the difference and use four 15's myself though. With what's on the market now, and the amp you've got, they'd be Fi Team 15's fwiw.

Now take this as you may! Happy PG is back in the marketplace with new lines and goodies and has been for a while! Looking over the comments made, one hit me from 66GTO-MS2175, Would I love to see a 25th of the MS amps? AAHHH HELL YES! It will never happen! Here is why, PG went away for a while, and when they returned we all found out that the products were not made in the US anymore :( They got outsourced to places that run it like a assembly line. Not handcrafted, No Love, No Pride! Call me old school (no really go ahead) I would love to see PG bring back the old lines in new versions. The old M, MS, and MPS amps are what made PG the best to own IMO. I cant bring myself to buy any new products because of where they are made! To the younger guys here, Im sorry you just were not born in time to see and experience the real deal back in the day. I will always Love the old PG products and will put them up against anything new, cause old will still outperform and last longer. (WITHOUT VIAGRA) So what do I want to see in the new PG company rebirth? Bring it back home where it all began, and make the best handcrafted, kickass, long lasting products in the world. JUST LIKE THE OLD DAYS!

I would like to see a HU to compete with the likes of Pioneer's P99 i.e. Have 8 (or even 10) channel outputs with full processing capabilities and high signal output, eliminating the need for a line driver. Add connectabilty to a tablet/laptop for any software upgrades. Have single din and double din versions.
